Nature Group plc, through its subsidiaries, operates as a maritime and offshore waste collection and treatment company. The company is involved in the provision of reception and treatment services for oily and polluted waste-waters; ownership and application of intellectual and proprietary rights related to such treatment; and the provision of reception and treatment plants for oily waste in onshore and offshore locations. Its Maritime segment collects and treats maritime and offshore waste. This segment operates port reception facilities in for the oil, marine, and processing industries located in the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and Gibraltar. The company’s Oil & Gas segment provides range of products to process waste derived from drilling and production in the oil and gas sector. It offers compact treatment unit, a containerized slop water processing unit; sludge treatment unit, a containerized mud treatment unit; and bio reactors for the water treatment industry involved in treating maritime, hazardous, and drilling waste, as well as provides treatment chemicals and custom made products. This segment also offers various services in the oil and gas sector, including inspections and surveys, supervision, calibration, and testing services; and is involved in the design, engineering, and manufacture of water- and mud processing equipment. Its Engineering & Industry segment designs, builds, and maintains maritime and offshore waste reception and processing facilities; and offers EcoScrub, a closed degassing technology for the swift and environmental safe ventilation of inland barges and seagoing vessels. This segment also provides technical services and advice on maritime waste logistics, collection, and processing. The company operates in Gibraltar, the Netherlands, Norway, Malta, Portugal, and the United Kingdom/Jersey. Nature Group PLC was incorporated in 2000 and is headquartered in St. Helier, the Channel Islands.

Nature Oil & Gas Signs a Three Year Contract with Seadrill in Brazil

Nature Group PLC announced a new three year contract for its Compact Treatment Units. Nature has been contracted for 3 years by SeaDrill Brazil to support the processing of liquid waste generated on its drilling rigs offshore Brazil. Seadrill currently operates three rigs in Brazil, between which the units will be shared. In addition to a "Compact Treatment Unit" (CTU) for on-site waste water treatment, a "Sludge Treatment Unit" (STU), for drilling mud treatment, will be included in the rental contract to enable zero hydrocarbon discharge criteria to be met. Dedicated units will be shipped to Brazil and are expected to commence operation at the end of the first quarter of 2014. The contract covers the rental of Nature's CTU and STU in combination with the associated operators and sets of environmentally friendly treatment chemicals. Nature's technology will clean the waste water to meet the local discharge criteria, with a target for water to be discharged as low as <5ppm Oil in Water.

Nature Group PLC Announces Management Appointments

Nature Group PLC announced the new organizational structure of its Maritime Division. The company appoint René van der Wolf as the new head of the Maritime Division. Most recently, he was the Director Vessel Traffic Management & Operations, leading a team of 400 people and is well acquainted with Nature Group's operations in Rotterdam. Carlos Cardoso will assume responsibility for the overall commercial activities of the division. For the past two years he has led Nature Portugal and will continue to do so. Managing Director in Gibraltar, Freddie Becerra, is retiring from full time work. He is replaced by Matthew Byrne. Matthew studied Naval Architecture and for the past 11 years has worked for Lloyd´s Register in Europe and ASIA.

Nature Group PLC Announces Resignation of Darren Laguea as Director and the Chief Operating Officer

Nature Group announced that Darren Laguea, currently a Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Nature Group PLC, has decided to step down as a Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Nature Group PLC at the beginning of 2014. After nearly 20 years in the maritime waste industry he has decided that although he wishes to remain in the marine sector, it will be to pursue his own business interests unrelated to Nature's waste management activities.
