The company’s Community Banking segment offers checking and market rate accounts, savings and time deposits, individual retirement accounts, and remittances; and lines of credit, auto floor plan lines, equity lines and loans, equipment and transportation loans, education and residential mortgage loans, and credit and debit cards. This segment also provides equipment leases, real estate and other commercial financing, small business administration financing, venture capital financing, cash management, payroll services, retirement plans, health savings accounts, and merchant payment processing and private label financing solutions, as well as purchases retail installment contracts. Its Wholesale Banking segment offers commercial loans and lines of credit, letters of credit, asset-based lending, equipment leasing, international trade facilities, trade financing, collection, foreign exchange, treasury management, investment management, institutional fixed-income sales, interest rate, commodity and equity risk management, insurance, corporate trust fiduciary and agency, and investment banking services, as well as online/electronic products. This segment also provides construction, and land acquisition and development loans; secured and unsecured lines of credit; interim financing arrangements; rehabilitation loans; affordable housing loans and letters of credit; loans for securitization; commercial real estate loan servicing; and real estate and mortgage brokerage services. The company’s Wealth, Brokerage, and Retirement segment offers financial advisory, wealth management, brokerage, retirement, trust, and reinsurance services. As of December 3, 2014, it operated through 8,700 locations and 12,500 ATMs; offices in 36 countries; and wellsfargo.com Website. The Company was founded in 1852 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Wells Fargo to Expand Commercial Banking Operations

Wells Fargo has announced plans to expand its commercial banking operations eastwards. The bank announced that New York City would serve as its new Eastern Region hub for Commercial Banking.

Wells Fargo & Company Appoints Kelly Madden as Head of Commercial Banking in Florida

Wells Fargo & Company named Kelly Madden as head of Commercial Banking operations in Florida. Madden had earlier served as executive vice president for Wells Fargo Commercial Banking in North Florida and will succeed the retiring Howard Halle at year-end. Before joining Commercial Banking, Madden was the North Florida region president and Retail Bank director for Greater North Florida with Wells Fargo's predecessor Wachovia Bank. She began her career at First Union National Bank in 1988 and served in roles such as commercial sales director, relationship manager and credit risk review officer. Also, she serves as trustee and past chair of the Gator Bowl Association, member and past chair of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce board, member of the Jacksonville Civic Council executive committee and advisor for the Baptist Foundation board.

Wells Fargo & Company announces board changes

Wells Fargo & Company disclosed that New York City will serve as its new Eastern Region hub for Commercial Banking and that John P Manning will lead the continued expansion of this business in the Eastern US and Eastern Canada, based at its Manhattan office at 150 East 42nd St. A 26-year financial services veteran and Wells Fargo executive vice president, Manning succeeds Carlos Evans who retired last May. Most recently, Manning led Wells Fargo's 14-office Commercial Banking division in Southern California and prior to that oversaw the Greater Los Angeles division, where with his teams he doubled their loan portfolio between 2009 and 2014. He joined the Commercial Banking group in 1994 as a relationship manager in Los Angeles and progressed till he was promoted as head of the Greater Los Angeles division in 2009 and unified its Southern California offices into one region in 2013.
