The New Zealand Refining Company Limited announced that Vanessa Stoddart has been appointed as an Independent Director of the Company. Vanessa has 25 years experience in legal, manufacturing, packaging, airline and engineering industries including roles with Carter Holt Harvey and Air New Zealand. In 2003 she joined the Air New Zealand executive team, holding the People portfolio with responsibility for HR and Industrial Relations. From 2009 Vanessa also led the Airline's Engineering Services Group, where she was responsible for safety and maintenance, transforming cultural performance and setting strategic direction. She is currently a member of the Better Public Services Advisory Board to the Government, Chair of the Otago University Business School Advisory Board and a Board member of Global Women. Vanessa Stoddart's appointment was made after a broad international search following the departure of Independent Director Andrew Clements in April.

The Directors of The New Zealand Refinery Company Limited announced that they have received the resignation of Mr. Peter Morris as a Director. They have appointed Mr. Dean Gilbert as a Director. Mr. Gilbert is the General Manager of Chevron New Zealand and replaces Mr. Morris.
