Oando plc, together with its subsidiaries, operates as an integrated energy solutions company in sub-Saharan Africa. It operates in five divisions: Marketing, Supply and Trading, Gas and Power, Energy Services, and Exploration and Production. The Marketing division is involved in the retail sale and distribution of petroleum products via over 500 retail service stations in Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, and Liberia. It markets a range of petroleum products, including premium motor spirit, automotive gas oil, dual purpose kerosene, aviation turbine kerosene, low pour fuel oil, lubricating oils, greases, insecticides, bitumen, and liquefied petroleum gas. The Supply and Trading division engages in the export and import of petroleum products in Nigeria. It procures and trades a range of refined petroleum and crude oil products to refiners, and marketing and trading companies in Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The Gas and Power division is involved in the distribution of natural gas to commercial and industrial end-users via pipelines in Nigeria. The Energy Services division offers oilfield services to upstream companies operating in Nigeria. It delivers well site operations and support to exploration and production companies operating in the Niger Delta. The Exploration and Production division engages in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas. It holds interests in 13 oil and gas assets located onshore, swamp, and offshore. The company was formerly known as Unipetrol Nigeria Plc and changed its name to Oando plc in December 2003. Oando plc was founded in 1956 and is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
