Deoleo SA operates as a food company in Spain and internationally. The company offers vegetable oils, such as olive oil under the Carbonell, Koipe, Bertolli, Carapelli, and Sasso brands; and seed oil under the Koipesol name. It also provides rice under the Abu Bint, Lassie Saludaes, Adolphus, Comet, and Blue Ribbon brands; table olives under the Carbonell name; vinegars under the Procer and Louit brands; condiments under the Louit name; and confectionary products under the El Monaguillo brand. The company also has operations in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Australia, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guyana, and Brazil. The company was formerly known as SOS Corporacion Alimentaria SA and changed its name to Deoleo SA in June, 2011. The company was founded in 1990 and is based in Rivas Vaciamadrid, Spain.

Hojiblanca Mulls Acquisition Of 16% Stake Of Banco In Deoleo

Grupo Hojiblanca is planning to acquire 16% stake in Deoleo SA from Banco Financiero y de Ahorros S.A. Antonio Luque, Director General of Hojiblanca said to El Economista, "If it's possible, we are not ruling out buying that stake. We are considering it." Antonio added that other shareholders Deoleo are expected to sell their stakes too and Hojiblanca would wait to see how things progress before purchasing Bankia's stake. Antonio said, "What is our strategy for the future? To have a bigger stake in Deoleo. A total merger is impossible ... Taking a bigger stake in the future, well yes."

Hojiblanca in Talks To Acquire 30% Of Deoleo

Grupo Hojiblanca is in talks to acquire 30% stake in Deoleo SA. A spokesperson for Hojiblanca told just-food that talks were being carried out but refused to comment further on the discussions. Spokesperson added, "Hojiblanca will publicize the agreement as soon as it is confirmed." El Economista reported that the stake could be 30%. Deoleo did not return comment, Just-food reported.
