OMNOVA Solutions introduced Lytron HG80 hollow plastic pigment (HPP) for coated paper, paper board and specialty applications. This synthetic pigment delivers excellent gloss while improving smoothness, opacity and brightness in coated free sheet, lightweight coated, technical paper and paperboard applications. The optimized particle size and void volume, coupled with a narrow particle size distribution, enable Lytron HG80 pigment to perform well in even the most demanding coated paper formulations. This product is available in North America.

OMNOVA Solutions has debuted two alluring new 3D Laminates designs – Aria WL and Diva WL – at 2013 GlobalShop World’s Trade Fair. Featuring OMNOVA’s exclusive WoodLine (WL) emboss, these new offerings combine a distinct woodgrain texture and natural color for truly stunning surfaces. Aria WL is a smoky arboreal design that evokes memories of rustic getaways to reconnect with nature. Its counterpart, Diva WL, is a pristine, sweet alabaster woodgrain with an ethereal whitewashed hue. The pronounced grain of the WL emboss further enhances the realistic essence of the two designs by delivering a rich tactile experience. Like all OMNOVA 3D Laminates, these new designs can be flat laminated, mitre folded or membrane pressed to accommodate a wide array of functional, contemporary surfaces. Designers and specifiers will discover that Aria WL and Diva WL are rich, versatile designs that can enhance any interior environment, including retail, hospitality, commercial office and more. On April 5, 2013, OMNOVA Solutions Inc. entered into an agreement with JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as agent, and certain financial institutions, to amend the company’s existing $100 million Senior Secured Credit Facility. The key terms of the amendment included a two-year extension of the maturity of the facility to December 2017 and a reduction in borrowing spreads by 0.50% and unused line fees by 0.25%. All other terms and conditions of the Senior Secured Credit Facility remain substantially the same.
