OpenText Corporation Announces Expansion of the OpenText ECM Suite for SAP(R) Solutions

OpenText Corporation announced a significant expansion of the OpenText ECM Suite for SAP(R) Solutions in support of SAP's latest technologies, including the SAP HANA platform, and cloud and mobility solutions. The OpenText ECM Suite for SAP Solutions is expected to extend the value of SAP Business Suite software as an end-to-end solution, addressing strategy to execution and helping enable business transformation. Leveraging the power of SAP HANA, the OpenText ECM Suite for SAP Solutions is designed to enable SAP customers to use common enterprise architecture to organize and control all of their digital information. As further evidence of the strategic alignment between the companies, OpenText is the first SAP software solution and technology partner to offer solutions that have been fully tested and confirmed by SAP to be integrated with SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA. Using these solutions together with SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA, it is anticipated that customers can now reap the benefits of a faster, smarter and simpler real-time platform for their business. Additionally, OpenText solutions resold by SAP as the SAP Digital Asset Management and the SAP Document Presentment applications by OpenText are available with the SAP 360 Customer solution. The connector can quickly import forms from various cloud-based processes helping to enable users to easily store cloud-based documents within a central content repository; new mobile applications, such as OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP Solutions, OpenText Employee File Management for SAP Solutions, and the SAP Portal Content Management application by OpenText are forecasted to support and integrate with the SAP Afaria(R) mobile device management solution. This is anticipated to allow users to easily sync, share and store enterprise information across all mobile devices while still keeping content secure and within corporate compliance policies. OpenText Corporation Expands Reach of its Cloud-Based Solutions Now Included in SAP(R) Cloud for Travel Solution

OpenText Corporation announced that its powerful capture and optical character recognition (OCR) services are now included in the SAP(R) Cloud for Travel solution (formerly known as SAP Travel OnDemand), a cloud-based application for travel management. Further strengthening the partnership between OpenText and SAP, the offering is expected to make it easier for business travelers to file expense reports using information scanned from receipts using scanners or mobile devices. Delivering a mobile user experience designed for today's business traveler, SAP Cloud for Travel is a subscription-based cloud solution that helps customers manage expenses without any additional hardware or services. SAP customers can now have cost-efficient access to proven OpenText Capture Center technology, which is recognized as one of the leading multi-channel capture solutions available. In what OpenText believes underscores the strength of its technology, Forrester Research Inc. ranked OpenText a leader in its report, "The Forrester Wave: Multichannel Capture, third quarter of 2012." OpenText received the high possible scores in the OCR support, multichannel input, mobile capture, and document classification categories, now available as a service in SAP Cloud for Travel. In its evaluation, Forrester also recognizes OpenText as a leader in the market.

j2 Global, Inc. Enters Settlement and Patent License Agreement with OpenText Corporation

j2 Global Inc. has entered into a settlement and patent license agreement with OpenText Corporation to resolve patent litigation asserted by the Company and its affiliates against Open Text Corporation and its affiliates Easylink Corporation and Xpedite Systems LLC (collectively, Open Text). Open Text will pay j2 Global $27,000,000 in exchange for a fully paid up license to the Licensed j2 Patents for fax software and services sales to enterprise and corporate customers. Open Text has also agreed pay j2 Global a running royalty for a license to the Licensed j2 Patents for sales of fax software and services to individual and small office/home office customers, provided that such royalty exceeds a stipulated minimum amount. The licensed j2 Patents include United States Patent Nos. 6,208,638; 6,597,688; 7,020,132; 6,350,066; and 6,020,980; together with all continuations, counterparts and reissues. In connection with the settlement, Open Text has granted j2 Global a fully paid up license to United States Patent Nos. 5,872,640 and 7,804,823, together with all continuations, counterparts and reissues, for fax software and services sales. The Company and Open Text have agreed to cause all outstanding litigation between them and their affiliates to be dismissed with prejudice and have granted each other full mutual releases.
