Pan African Resources PLC announced that Jan Nelson has resigned as the company's Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the board of directors, with effect from March 1, 2013. Nelson's advice remains available to the company. He remains a director of Auroch Minerals. The company announced that it has appointed Ron Holding and Cobus Loots as joint interim CEO's, until a successor is appointed. Mr. Holding is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Pan African and has been an employee of Phoenix Platinum Mining (Proprietary) Limited and Pan African since 2001. Loots is the former Chief Financial Officer of Pan African and has been a director of the company since 2009.

Pan African Resources PLC reported unaudited group financial results for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2012. For the six months, net income before finance income and finance costs was £17,186,941 against £22,630,210 for the same period of last year. Profit before taxation was £17,639,891 against £22,827,465 for the same period of last year. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was £12,351,483 against £14,437,217 for the same period of last year. Diluted earnings per share was £0.85 against £0.99 for the same period of last year. Headline earnings was £12,351,483 against £14,437,217 for the same period of last year. Diluted headline earnings per share was £0.85 against £0.99 for the same period of last year. Cash inflow from operating activities was £9,091,432 against £7,818,436 for the same period of last year. During the first half of 2013 the company has not declared a dividend as result of raising equity capital to fund the Evander Transaction. The dividend for the previous financial year was 0.5135 pence per share totalling £7.42 million.
