Procter & Gamble Announces Availability of Crest Sensi-Stop Strips

Procter & Gamble has announced the availability of Crest Sensi-Stop Strips. The small, flexible, semi-transparent strips provide targeted, immediate and long-lasting tooth sensitivity relief like never before. With Crest Sensi-Stop Strips, the right amount of tooth sensitivity treatment is applied exactly where it is needed. They are designed to cover the outer gumline of sensitive teeth for just ten minutes. Using the same ingredient as some professional treatments, exposed dentinal tubules are blocked. Dentinal tubules are small passageways that lead directly to nerve endings. These tubules can be exposed due to the loss of enamel from teeth and receding gums. The strips are publicly available for purchase on store shelves at drugstores and mass retailers throughout the US. Another product for sensitivity relief, Crest Sensi-Repair & Prevent toothpaste is tailored for sensitive mouths and helps repairvi painful sensitivity and prevent future sensitivity, by building a therapeutic and protective layer. For those that prefer a gentle oral care routine, Crest and Oral-B also offer products such as the Oral-B Sensi-Soft Toothbrush, and Oral-B Glide Sensi-Soft Dental Floss.

Vicks Announces the Introduction of New QlearQuil

Vicks announced the introduction of new QlearQuil(TM), a family of over-the-counter medications for the occasional allergy sufferer. The introduction of QlearQuil marks P&G's first entry into the allergy category. QlearQuil products are now available in the sinus and allergy aisles of major retailers nationwide. Prior to launch, QlearQuil earned the respected Good Housekeeping Seal after evaluation by the Good Housekeeping Research Institute. Approximately 50 million Americans, which is about one person in every four households, suffer from allergic rhinitis, or nasal allergies. However, not all of these people experience chronic allergies every day. New QlearQuil is designed for people who suffer from occasional sinus and allergy symptoms and its suite of products allows individuals to customize their treatment based on their symptoms. QlearQuil offers a family of over-the-counter medications that treat specific sinus and allergy symptoms when a consumer needs them - including products for daytime, nighttime, or 24-hour relief. The QlearQuil family includes All Day & All Night 24 Hour Allergy Relief; Nighttime Allergy Relief; Daytime Sinus & Congestion; Nighttime Sinus & Congestion; and a 12 Hour Nasal Decongestant Moisturizing Spray. The entire lineup offers powerfully effective relief from common sinus and allergy symptoms, such as runny nose; sneezing; itchy, watery eyes; itching of the nose and throat; sinus pressure; and sinus congestion.

Large Firms May Eye Procter & Gamble's Brands

The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:PG) is looking to divest brands. Private equity sources expect middle market firms and large players to be interested in the brands. Procter & Gamble said it won't unload any of its 23 brands with sales in excess of $1 billion. A banker said he expects upscale scents (including Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Dolce & Gabbana) to remain in the P&G portfolio, but that down-market products, including scents and haircare brands such as Nicky Clarke, Naomi Campbell, Frederick Fekkai and Blue Stratos, may hit the block. Nonethless, one source suggested Yellow Wood Partners LLC may seek to acquire some of Procter & Gamble’s scents.
