The company’s primary products include refrigerators, washing machines, electric fans, freezers, and imported appliances, such as LCD/PDP TV sets and digital AV products; communications equipment/devices, including corded/cordless telephones, fax machines, PABX, etc.; office automation equipment comprising copiers, POS machines, Panaboard, plasma displays, LCD projectors, closed-circuit video equipment, etc.; cooling equipment, which include package/split-type air conditioners and air-moving equipment; and various kitchen and home appliances, which comprise rice cookers, vacuum cleaners, hair dryers/stylers, etc. The company is also engaged in the business of realty brokerage. It serves household and business consumers. It serves customers in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Africa, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. The company was formerly known as Matsushita Electric Philippines Corporation and changed its name to Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation in April 2005. Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation was incorporated in 1963 and is headquartered in Rizal, the Philippines. Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation is a subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation.

Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended June 30, 2014

Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of PHP 2,130,891,000 against PHP 2,198,903,000 for the same period of last year. Decrease in sales was due mainly to export sales due to lower demand in Honkong. Income before tax was PHP 97,879,000 against PHP 105,199,000 a year ago. The group’s net income before tax decreased by PHP 7.3 million (7.0%) mainly due to decrease in sales and non-operating income. Net cash flows provided by operating activities were PHP 407,364,000 against PHP 147,448,000 a year ago. Net income was PHP 82,131,000 against PHP 88,978,000 a year ago. Earnings per share were PHP 0.19 against PHP 0.21 a year ago. Acquisitions of property and equipment were PHP 317,886,000 against PHP 143,448,000 a year ago. Net book value as on June 30, 2014 was PHP 76,319,000.

Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. reported earnings results for the year ended March 2014. The company nearly doubled its net income in the year to March 2014 on the back of cost-cutting measures and favorable prices of raw materials. The company said net income hit PHP 162.05 million in the year to March 2014, compared with PHP 83.84 million in the year to March 2013. Gross revenue rose 2.82% to PHP 6.725 billion. Operating revenue inched up 2.92% to PHP 6.6 billion in the year to March 2014. Compared to the previous fiscal year, sales of Panasonic's locally manufactured products grew 9%. Posting increasing sales were window air-conditioners at 25%; freezers, 18%; washing machines, 4%; and electric fans, 12%. Refrigerator sales remained flat, while sales of imported products slipped 3%.
