PolyOne Corporation provides specialized polymer materials, services, and solutions with operations in specialty polymer formulations, color and additive systems, plastic sheet and packaging solutions, and polymer distribution. The company’s Global Specialty Engineered Materials segment offers specialty polymer formulations, services, and solutions for designers, assemblers, and processors of thermoplastic materials for various markets and end-use applications. Its Global Color, Additives, and Inks segment provides specialized color and additive concentrates for thermoplastics; and dispersions for thermosets, as well as specialty inks, plastisols, and vinyl slush molding solutions. The company’s Designed Structures and Solutions segment provides various solutions in engineered polymer structures, rigid barrier packaging, and specialty cast acrylics to produce portfolio of sheet, custom rollstock and specialty films, laminate, and acrylic solutions. This segment also offers stock and custom packaging solutions for various industry processes that are used in the food, medical, consumer, and graphic arts markets. Its Performance Products and Solutions segment provides vinyl molding and extrusion processors to various manufacturers of plastic parts and consumer-oriented products. This segment also offers materials testing and component analysis, custom compound development, colorant and additive, design assistance, structural analysis, process simulations, and extruder screw design services, as well as offers contract manufacturing services and outsourced polymer manufacturing services to resin producers and polymer marketers. The PolyOne Distribution segment distributes approximately 3,500 grades of engineering and commodity grade resins to custom injection molders and extruders. PolyOne Corporation sells its products worldwide through direct sales personnel, sales agents, and distributors. The company was founded in 1927 and is headquartered in Avon Lake, Ohio.

PolyOne ColorMatrix Launches PlanetPak Liquid Delivery System

PolyOne ColorMatrix has launched the PlanetPak liquid delivery system. PlanetPak liquid delivery system is the latest in its line of eco-friendly packaging solutions, helping customers reach their environmental goals. This new system also delivers up to 99% product recovery when used in conjunction with its FlexCart volumetric dosing equipment. With a design that features a corrugated cardboard outer box, PlanetPak also includes a recyclable 25-liter (5.5 gallon) polyethylene inner liner. Easy to transport, handle and store, this packaging system improves material handling safety while still efficiently delivering the high quality colorant stored within it. The PlanetPak's shape means that it can be placed edge-to-edge for more efï cient use of space during transport and storage, unlike cylindrical drums and pails. Once the contents have been consumed, boxes and liners are easily attened for recycling.
