Prudential plc, together with its subsidiaries, provides retail financial products and services, and asset management services to individuals and businesses in Asia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Prudential plc announced that Alice Davey Schroeder is to join the Board on June 10, 2013 as an independent non-executive director and member of the Audit Committee. Ms. Schroeder brings to the position a deep experience and understanding of the insurance industry and its regulatory framework, both in the U.S. and globally. In addition, Michael Garrett is to retire from the Board on August 31, 2013 after almost nine years of service. Ms. Schroeder was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley leading its Global Insurance Equity Research team before becoming a senior adviser to the bank.
Anthony John Liddell Nightingale, a Director of Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited, was appointed a director of Prudential plc with effect from June 1, 2013.
Prudential appointed John Warburton to replace O'Dwyer, effective immediately, giving him the title of managing director of retail, life and pensions. Warburton will be responsible for retail sales, distribution, corporate pensions, products and marketing, according to the paper. He was previously product director at Prudential's U.K. and European division.
