PTT Public Company Limited is engaged in the upstream and downstream petroleum and coal businesses in Thailand and internationally. The company’s Gas business unit is involved in the procurement, processing, transmission, and distribution of natural gas, as well as investment in natural gas for vehicle service stations and sales, gas separation plants, gas-related value-added businesses, liquefied natural gas (LNG)-receiving terminals, LNG storage, and LNG re-gasification businesses. This business unit also generates and distributes electricity, steam, and demineralized water. Its Oil business unit distributes fuel products consisting of liquid fuels and LPG; lubricating oils and other lubricating products; and retail business products. As of December 31, 2013, this business unit operated 1,382 service stations, 10 aviation fuel stations, 13 oil terminals, two LPG terminals, six petroleum terminals, four LPG-bottling plants, 1,063 Seven-Eleven convenience stores, 995 Café Amazon outlets, 1,566 CO Brand outlets, and 82 auto-service centers. The company’s International Trading business unit is engaged in the procurement, import, and export of crude oil, condensate, petroleum and petrochemical products, solvents, chemicals, and other commodities, as well as provides shipment and trading services. Its Upstream business unit is involved in the exploration and production of petroleum, as well as invests in associated businesses. The company’s Downstream business unit provides refined and petrochemical products. Its International Investment business unit invests in coal mining businesses in Indonesia and Madagascar; a hydro-power plant in Laos; a gas pipeline business in Egypt and Israel; and the development of palm plantations in Indonesia. The company was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.
