Bioniche Life Sciences Inc. announced that it has engaged Evercore Partners Inc. to assist the board of directors and management in its divestment of the Animal Health business. As Evercore leads its work on the Animal Health side of the business, the company is actively engaged in discussions with potential partners for its Phase III bladder cancer product, Urocidin, which will unlock value for the company's Bioniche Therapeutics Corp. subsidiary.

Epsilon Energy Ltd. (Canada) (TSX:EPS) did not receive a proposal as of the May 10, 2013 deadline under its strategic alternative process. “We entered into the review of strategic alternatives from a position of strength, in terms of both robust Marcellus upstream and midstream operations and cash flow,” Zoran Arandjelovic, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Epsilon, said in a news release. “The process over the past three months, although not resulting in an acceptable offer for the whole of the company, did highlight the quality of our Marcellus asset base and continued shareholder value growth opportunities. Although the board believes the company and its shareholders are best served by our continued focus on the development of upstream and midstream assets, it remains open minded to all alternatives that would enhance shareholders value.” Evercore Partners Inc., financial advisor of Epsilon, will continue to deal with interested parties for the proposal that deems in the best interest of Epsilon and its shareholders.

Evercore Partners Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013. Net revenues were $151.4 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2013, compared to $102.8 million and $214.0 million for the quarters ended March 31, 2012 and December 31, 2012, respectively. U.S. GAAP net income attributable to Evercore Partners Inc. was $6.0 million, or $0.16 per diluted share, for the first quarter, compared to loss of $3.4 million or $0.12 per diluted share a year ago and $19.0 million, or $0.56 per diluted share, last quarter. Income before income taxes was $15,700,000 against loss of $9,758,000 a year ago. Operating income was $14,944,000 against loss of $12,143,000 a year ago. Adjusted pro forma net revenues were $153.4 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2013, compared with $105.5 million and $212.0 million for the quarters ended March 31, 2012 and December 31, 2012, respectively. Adjusted pro forma net income attributable to Evercore Partners Inc. was $16.8 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, for the first quarter, compared to $4.3 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, a year ago and $35.3 million, or $0.81 per diluted share, last quarter. Adjusted pro forma basis, adjusted operating income was $29,995,000 against loss of $8,931,000 a year ago.
