Qube Holdings Limited, through its subsidiaries, provides logistics services for clients in import and export cargo supply chains in Australia. The company’s Logistics segment offers a range of services relating to the import and export of containerized cargo. Its services include physical and documentary processes and tasks of the import/export supply chain, such as road and rail transport of containers to and from ports, operation of full and empty container parks, customs and quarantine services, warehousing, intermodal terminals, and international freight forwarding. The company’s Ports & Bulk segment provides a range of logistics services relating to the import and export of non-containerized freight, with a focus on automotive, bulk, and break bulk products; and an integrated logistics solution for the automotive industry covering a range of activities, including facilities management, stevedoring, processing, and delivery. This segment also offers stevedoring services for project cargo and other similar items; and handles commodities, such as iron ore, manganese, nickel concentrate, and mineral sands. Its Strategic Assets segment invests in and develops infrastructure. The company was formerly known as Qube Logistics Holdings Limited and changed its name to Qube Holdings Limited in November 2012. Qube Holdings Limited is based in Sydney, Australia.

Qube Holdings Limited Forms Joint Venture (Quattro Grain) with a Subsidiary of Noble Group

Qube Holdings Limited announced that it has formed a joint venture (Quattro Grain) with a subsidiary of Noble Group (Noble) to develop and operate a major new multi-user grain handling facility at Port Kembla, New South Wales. Qube and Noble have each granted separate call options to the Cargill Group and the Emerald Group which, if fully exercised, would enable each of those parties to acquire a 20% interest in Quattro Grain. As part of the broader transaction, Qube will also enter into separate bulk rail haulage contracts with each of Noble, the Cargill Group and the Emerald Group under medium term take-or-pay contracts.

Qube Holdings Limited Announces Earnings Results for the Six Months Ended December 31, 2013

Qube Holdings Limited announced earnings results for the six months ended December 31, 2013. For the period, on statutory basis, the company reported revenue of AUD 581.5 million against AUD 526.2 million a year ago. EBITDA was AUD 98.2 million against AUD 89.3 million a year ago. EBIT was AUD 66.9 million against AUD 60.8 million a year ago. EBITA was AUD 70.0 million against AUD 63.8 million a year ago. Profit after tax attributable to shareholders was AUD 41.2 million against AUD 34.7 million a year ago. Earnings per share were 4.43 cents against 3.76 cents a year ago. On underlying basis, the company reported revenue of AUD 581.4 million against AUD 526.2 million a year ago. EBITDA was AUD 99.4 million against AUD 90.3 million a year ago. EBIT was AUD 68.2 million against AUD 61.8 million a year ago. EBITA was AUD 71.3 million against AUD 64.9 million a year ago. Profit after tax attributable to shareholders was AUD 42.1 million against AUD 38.4 million a year ago. Earnings per share were 4.53 cents against 4.16 cents a year ago. Net debt as on December 31, 2013 was AUD 515.2 million, increased by around AUD 50 million reflecting continued investment in facilities, equipment and the IML Logistics acquisition.
