In addition, it offers payments and cash management services comprising traditional payment products in the areas of domestic payments, foreign payments, and EU payments; and electronic banking and e-business, international cash pooling, and special cash management solutions to commercial customers and financial institutions. Further, the company provides payment services; custody and fund services; and debit, credit, and prepaid cards. It primarily serves corporate customers, financial institutions and sovereigns, and retail customers. Raiffeisen Bank International AG operated 3,106 business outlets in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as branches in Austria. The company is based in Vienna, Austria. Raiffeisen Bank International AG is a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich Aktiengesellschaft.

Raiffeisen Bank International AG Announces Unaudited Consolidated Financial Results for the Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended Dec. 31, 2012

Raiffeisen Bank International AG announced unaudited consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended Dec. 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported net interest income of €876 million against €943 million a year ago. Loss before tax was €84 million against profit before tax of €342 million a year ago. Loss after tax was €141 million against profit after tax of €214 million a year ago. Consolidated loss was €117 million against consolidated profit of €222 million a year ago. For the year, the company reported return on equity before tax as 9.7% against 13.7% a year ago. Earnings per share was €2.70 against €3.95 a year ago. Consequently, the profit before tax declined to roughly €1,032,000,000, which was down roughly 25%, also the consolidated profits to €725 million. The operating income was €5,140,000,000, also down 6% consequently. The company a net income from derivatives and liabilities of minus €127 million with a negative impact. ROE before tax decreased by 4% points year-over-year to 9.7%.
