Orex Minerals Inc. Continues Drilling to the Southeast on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico

Orex Minerals Inc. has received from their project partner Fresnillo PLC, the second of three batches of drilling results of the Phase-III diamond drill program on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico. Similar to the October 7th 2014 news release of the first batch, which were drilled 3 km northwest of the village of Coneto de Comonfort, this second batch consists of a dozen exploration diamond drill holes, widely spaced, on multiple targets approximately 1 to 4 km to the southeast of the village. Notable intercepts include BCO-40 on the Promontorio vein, yielding 3.90 m (true thickness) grading gold 1.85 g/t and silver 70 g/t for a gold-equivalent of 3.02 g/t, or a silver-equivalent of 181 g/t. Five holes were drilled on the Impulsora vein over a 1.9 km strike length. Hole BCO-42 on this structure yielded 3.09 m grading gold 0.99 g/t and silver 70 g/t for a gold-equivalent of 2.14 g/t, or a silver-equivalent of 129 g/t. Five holes were drilled on the Descubridora vein over a 600 metres strike-length. Hole BCO-47 on this structure yielded 4.50 m grading gold 0.79 g/t and silver 56 g/t for a gold-equivalent of 1.72 g/t, or a silver-equivalent of 103 g/t. The Santo Niño, Bufa and Bufa-Alta are steeply dipping, sub parallel epithermal veins in the La Bufa Zone, 3 km northwest of the village of Coneto de Comonfort. Impulsora, Descubridora, Intermedia, Nogales, Palma, Santa Teresa and Sauce are similar type steep veins extending for over 6 km southeast of the village. Promontorio is a quartz-hematite stockwork and veining structure 4 kilometres to the southeast of the village. BxA are andesite breccia zones with veinlets in unnamed structures. Silver-equivalent for the purposes of this news release is defined as silver grade plus 60 times gold grade. Gold-equivalent is defined as gold grade, plus silver divided by 60. The 60:1 ratio is based on the mid-term spot price projections of silver $20/ounce and gold $1,200/ounce. Metallurgical recoveries and net smelter returns are assumed to be 100% for the equivalent values. Base metal values are not included in the equivalent values.

Orex Minerals Inc. Completes Field Activities on Jumping Josephine Property, in Southern British Columbia

Orex Minerals Inc. has completed field activities on its 100% owned Jumping Josephine property, in southern British Columbia. Work undertaken during the 2014 field season included diamond drilling, geological mapping and trenching. Drilling activities are complete and equipment has demobilized from site. Core splitting and sampling is expected conclude in the next week. Complete assay results from the 2014 drilling are not expected until late December. Drilling: The 2014 season saw a total of 8,115m completed in 25 HQ and NQ diameter drill holes in an aggressive exploration campaign targeting prospective areas across the Jumping Josephine property. The program was divided into two phases. Nine holes targeted extensions beneath the existing 43-101 compliant gold resource at Jumping Josephine (JJ Main area - 9 holes for 3,903m). The second phase comprised 16 reconnaissance holes and tested several additional prospects and showings (16 holes for 4,212m). Orex has received partial results from the 2014 drilling and assays from the first phase, JJ Deeps, are now returned and compiled. Phase one comprised step-out drilling on five sections and aimed to intersect mineralization down-dip, beneath the existing resource at JJ Main. Drilling successfully intersected the expected mineralized zone in most cases though increased faulting and dyke emplacement was noted and significant gold mineralization was not identified. Trenching: Orex cleaned and resampled five trenches located on the surface expression of the JJ Main Gold Zone during 2014. This due-diligence work confirmed strong gold mineralization reported by the previous operator. Field staff re-excavated, cleaned and mapped the old trench sites. The trenches were measured and marked and continuous channel samples of one metre each were collected using a gas-powered diamond saw. Original sample markings and tags had been degraded to such an extent that they were not considered useful. The 2014 sample intervals and locations were determined by the site geologist in the field and are considered to represent an independent confirmation of the mineralized zone in each trench. Sample co-ordinates were located accurately by the survey crew and, in contrast to the previous surface sampling in the area, may be used in any new resource calculations.

Orex Minerals Inc. Announces Drilling Continues at Depth on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico

Orex Minerals Inc. has received from their project partner Fresnillo PLC, the first batch of drilling results of the Phase-III diamond drill program on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico. Three of the intercepts hit the Santo Niño vein, including BCO-37 at a vertical depth of 300 meters below surface, yielding 4.45 meters (3.40 meters true width) grading gold 1.40 g/t and silver 95 g/t, for a gold-equivalent of 2.98 g/t or silver-equivalent of 179 g/t, This hole was located 150 meters northwest of previously released BCO-11, which yielded 3.30 meters (2.70 meters true width) grading gold 4.34 g/t and silver 612 g/t, for a gold-equivalent of 14.54 g/t, or silver-equivalent of 872 g/t (N.R. 7 Jan 2013).
