Rockhaven Resources Ltd. Announces Results from Wholly-Owned Kluane Gold Property in Southwestern Yukon Territory

Rockhaven Resources Ltd. announced results from its wholly-owned Kluane gold property in southwestern Yukon Territory. The property lies in a lightly-explored gold belt that features high-grade gold showings and numerous placer gold operations. The gold showings resemble those found in the Juneau District of Alaska and the Dawson Range Gold Belt of Yukon. The 2014 exploration program at the Kluane property involved soil geochemical sampling, hand trenching and prospecting. Highlights from the program include: A specimen sample from a hand trench at the Delor Zone yielded 225 g/t gold; A chip sample from a hand trench at the Delor Zone returned 9.22 g/t gold over two metres; Two chip samples across mineralized exposures at the Rikus Zone graded 51.6 g/t gold over 30 cm and 51.6 g/t gold over 28 cm; and, Soil sampling returned 738 ppb gold-in-soil in a previously untested area. The Kluane property hosts eight known zones composed of native gold and/or arsenopyrite bearing quartz +/- carbonate veins. A horizontal loop electromagnetic (HLEM) survey performed across part of the property in 2004 identified nine linear conductors, two of which correlate with known zones. The gold-rich veins are hosted in Kluane Schist and trend to the north and to the northwest, discordant to foliation in the wallrocks. About 65% of the Kluane property has been grid soil sampled at various times since the late 1980s. In 2014, soil geochemical coverage was extended onto a vegetation- and overburden-covered slope, which lies north and west of the Delor and Switchback Zones and nearby electromagnetic conductors. This sampling returned several strongly anomalous results ranging from 100 to 738 ppb gold-in-soil. The high gold-in-soil values largely coincide with surface traces of the known showings and geophysical conductors. Both the geochemical and geophysical anomalies project northward into un-surveyed areas.

Rockhaven Announces Exceptional Results from Deep Step-Out Drill Hole at Western BRX Zone of Klaza Property

Rockhaven Resources Ltd. announced results from the final drill hole that tested the Western BRX Zone at its 100%-owned and road-accessible Klaza property, located in the Dawson Range Gold Belt of southern Yukon. Drilling in the Western BRX Zone has returned numerous high-grade gold and silver intercepts during the 2014 exploration season. The final hole intersected high-grade precious and base metal mineralization 500 m down-dip from surface, further supporting the Carbonate Base Metal (CBM) Gold classification that has been proposed as the deposit model at the Klaza property. Highlights: KL-14-238 returned 16.29 g/t gold, 1,435 g/t silver, 5.57% lead and 6.23% zinc over 1.37 m within an 18.5 m wide mineralized complex; This is the deepest intercept obtained to date and clearly demonstrates depth potential at Western BRX and other zones on the property; and mineralization is consistent with the Carbonate Base Metal Gold model, which predicts multiple zones with deep roots. The Western BRX Zone was the main target of the 2014 diamond drill program. A total of 9 excavator trenches and 40 diamond drill holes have traced mineralization over a 500 m strike length and from surface to a maximum depth of 500 m down-dip. Mineralized veins are emplaced adjacent to a feldspar porphyry dyke that is present throughout the zone. KL-14-238, the deepest hole completed to date at the Klaza property, intersected 16.29 g/t gold, 1,435 g/t silver, 5.57% lead and 6.23% zinc over 1.37 m within a complex of veins, breccias and dykes, which averaged 4.58 g/t gold EQ over 18.50 m. The high-grade precious and base metal intercept at this depth demonstrates the exceptional down-dip potential of the Western BRX Zone. None of the earlier drill holes on this high-grade target extended below 310 m down-dip from surface. The complex of veins, breccias and dykes in KL-14-238 is the widest and strongest structure intercepted to date within the Western BRX Zone. The Klaza property hosts CBM-style mineralization within multiple, sub-parallel vein and breccia zones. CBM's are a recently recognized sub-class of epithermal deposits that encompass a family of similar deposits located around the Pacific Rim. Multi-million ounce gold deposits classified as CBM include Barrick Gold's Porgera Mine (Papua New Guinea), Rio Tinto's formerly producing Kelian Mine (Indonesia) and Continental Gold's Buritica project (Columbia). All analyses for rock and core samples from the 2014 program were performed by ALS Minerals with sample preparation in Whitehorse and assays and geochemical analyses in North Vancouver. Core samples are routinely analyzed for gold by fire assay followed by atomic absorption (Au-AA24) and 48 other elements by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ME-MS61).

Rockhaven Resources Ltd. Drills 11.22 g/t Gold over 1.68 M in Fourth High-Grade Discovery at Klaza Project, Yukon

Rockhaven Resources Ltd. announced the results from reconnaissance drilling and ground geophysical surveys recently completed at its 100%-owned and road-accessible Klaza property, located in the Dawson Range Gold Belt of southern Yukon. The geophysical surveys successfully increased the strike lengths of known zones and identified new, sub-parallel anomalies. A few of the new anomalies were tested by trenches and drill holes, which produced positive results. Reconnaissance drilling has successfully discovered new mineralized structures including the Western BYG Zone which returned 11.22 g/t gold over 1.68 m. Geophysical surveys have identified numerous untested VLF-EM conductors and coincident magnetic lows, similar to the geophysical anomalies that mark known mineralized structures. Widely-spaced drilling and trenching have only been done to test a few of the many soil geochemical and geophysical targets that lie outside of the main drill areas at the Klaza property. This step-out drilling and trenching identified new mineralized zones, thereby confirming the effectiveness of soil geochemical and geophysical exploration techniques. The reconnaissance program included twelve diamond drill holes and five excavator trenches. The best drill result was from the newly discovered Western BYG Zone, which returned 11.22 g/t gold over 1.68 m.
