Richland Resources Ltd. reported unaudited production and revenue results for the first quarter of 2013. For the first quarter of 2013, the company achieved production totaling 788,198 carats from the processing of 8,097 tonnes of material. In order to attempt to counteract the impact of the illegal mining activities on its operations, TML optimized its remaining work areas as much as possible and managed to increase the average grade to 97 carats per tonne. However, despite the optimization of the mining and increase in production the quality distribution was severely impacted by the illegal mining activities, which predominantly focused on higher-quality areas within its mining operations. For the quarter, the company achieved an estimated $4 million in revenue.

Richland Resources Ltd. announced that Mr. Louis Swart is joining the company in a non-board capacity as new Group Chief Financial Officer, starting immediately. Since then he has served as Financial Manager at Simmer & Jack Mines Limited and from 2011 as Senior Staff Accountant at Tronox Western Australia Pty Ltd. Louis will divide his time between Tanzania and Perth, Australia.

The Directors of Richland Resources Ltd. to announce the resignation of Farai Manyemba as Finance Director of the company with effect from 30 April 2013. Farai is stepping down from the board to pursue other interests and has agreed to continue his association with the company in a consultancy capacity for up to 6 months after leaving the board to ensure a smooth transition. The company is currently in the process of identifying and recruiting a suitable replacement for Farai and will make further announcements in this regard in due course.
