No Priority For French Economy For Orange, Renault Stake Sales

French Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron said selling state stakes in Orange (ENXTPA:ORA) or Renault Société Anonym (ENXTPA:RNO) was not a priority for the government as it undertakes a privatisation drive. "For the companies that you have cited (Orange and Renault), that is not a priority for the time being, and our desire is not to reduce stakes in those two companies." The French government plans to sell €5-10 billion of its €100 billion in assets over the next 18 months.

Renault Group Reports Sales Results for the Month and Year-To-Date Ended September 2014

Renault Group reported sales results for the month and year-to-date ended September 2014. For the month, the company reported total sales of 52,847 units, an increase of 7.7%, compared to September 2013. Total passenger car sales for the month of September 2014 were 39,954 units, an increase of 5.3%, compared to September 2013. Total light commercial vehicle sales for the month of September 2014 were 12,893 units, an increase of 15.8%, compared to September 2013. For the year-to-date period ended September 2014, total sales were 432,280 units, an increase of 8.2%, compared to the corresponding period of 2013.
