Roxy-Pacific Holdings Limited Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2014; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Year 2014

Roxy-Pacific Holdings Limited reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of SGD 102.639 million compared to SGD 68.891 million a year ago. Profit before tax was SGD 27.314 million compared to SGD 21.770 million a year ago. Profit after taxation was SGD 22.756 million compared to SGD 19.534 million a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was SGD 22.703 million or 1.35 cents per diluted share against SGD 19.487 million or 0.69 cents per diluted share a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was SGD 0.142 million against SGD 3.240 million a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was SGD 5.381 million against net cash generated from operating activities of SGD 14.551 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was SGD 33.373 million against SGD 27.594 million a year ago. The Group's pre-tax profits increased by 25% mainly due to higher profits from Property Development segment. The increase in revenue was the result of 59% and 5% increase in revenue from the Property Development and Hotel Ownership segments respectively. Earnings per share for the reporting quarter were 1.90 Singapore cents. For the six months, the company reported revenue of SGD 182.093 million compared to SGD 122.636 million a year ago. Profit before tax was SGD 44.593 million compared to SGD 36.196 million a year ago. Profit after taxation was SGD 37.718 million compared to SGD 31.357 million a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was SGD 37.823 million or 1.35 cents per diluted share against SGD 31.189 million or 0.69 cents per diluted share a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was SGD 0.142 million against SGD 6.160 million a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was SGD 16.786 million against net cash used in operating activities of SGD 72.026 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was SGD 55.443 million against SGD 44.237 million a year ago. The increase in net cash inflows from operating activities was mainly due to higher profits and comparatively lower increase in the properties for sale under development in first half of 2014 compared to first half of 2013. Earnings per share were 3.16 cents per share compared to 2.61 cents per share a year ago. Net assets value per share was 29.5 cents compared to 27.6 cents at December 31, 2013. Return on equity was 21.6% compared to 28% at December 31, 2013. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the directors expect the Group to be profitable in 2014.
