Garibaldi Resources Corp. Drills Tests New High-Grade Area North of Silver Eagle Discovery Hole

Garibaldi Resources Corp. reported that high-grade silver mineralization has been confirmed through assays from channel sampling 150 meters north of Silver Eagle discovery hole SE-14-01 at the Rodadero North Project in central Sonora State, Mexico. This area will be drill-tested beginning later this week in an attempt to expand the Silver Eagle system in a northerly direction. All drill holes completed to date at Silver Eagle, with the exception of SE-14-05, have been to the south of SE-14-01 where mineralization remains open and has been traced for an additional 3 km south beyond the Reales target in sampling of surface outcrops and small underground workings. The company eagerly anticipates receiving the next batch of assay results (drill holes SE-14-07 through SE-14-12) during the first half of December. Silver Eagle is the westernmost of 11 target areas defined over more than 45 sq. km at Rodadero North where mineralization transitions from primarily high-grade silver at Silver Eagle, discovered through sampling and shallow drilling, to high-grade gold, silver and base metals trending eastward. Channel Samples Return Up To 881 g/t Ag: Two immediate drill holes will test for continuity of mineralization to depths of less than 100 meters at the new surface discovery north of SE-14-01. All five channel samples from a shallow pit returned significant silver grades - 881 g/t (28.3 oz/tonne), 771 g/t, 763 g/t, 452 g/t and 87 g/t. Widths ranged from 1.4 to 1.9 meters. The average grade was 604 g/t Ag over an average width of 1.6 meters.

Garibaldi Resources Corp. Makes New Surface Discovery North of Silver Eagle

Garibaldi Resources Corp. reported further expansion of near-surface mineralization similar to high-grade silicified rock discovered at the Silver Eagle target, part of its Rodadero Silver-Gold Project in Sonora State, Mexico. Phase 2 drilling continues at Silver Eagle in addition to extensive mapping and sampling along trend immediately north and south of the discovery zone and throughout the multiple target project area. Rodadero North stretches 10 km north-south and nearly 5 km east-west. Rodadero update highlights include: Phase 2 drilling, designed to test the thickness and the strike length of the high-grade zone discovered in Phase 1, continues to consistently intersect silicified and brecciated rock containing pods of semi-massive sulfides similar to the mineralized intercepts reported from earlier holes. Mineralization remains open in all directions; A potentially important new zone of mineralization at surface, with silicified rock carrying visible galena as found at Silver Eagle, has been identified through mapping and sampling (assays pending) along trend 150 meters north of discovery hole SE-14-01. The newly discovered zone is lower in elevation, and this may have significant implications in the search for feeder zones at depth below the shallow high-grade discovery zone. As well, it suggests the scale of the mineralizing system could extend for a considerable distance to the north of SE-14-01. Similar mineralization has been demonstrated to the south and east of Silver Eagle from high-grade surface sampling results collected over hyperspectral 'hot spots'. Currently, drilling is focusing on extending the mineralized system to the south of previously reported drill hole SE-14-06 (SE-14-13 is in progress). With continuous drilling at Silver Eagle, the company will be reporting assay results in batches of approximately six to eight holes with the first set of assays from this second phase expected from the lab in the near future.

Garibaldi Resources Corp. Provides Updates on Phase 2 Diamond Drilling at its Silver Eagle Target in Central Sonora State

Garibaldi Resources Corp. reported that as Phase 2 diamond drilling continues at its Silver Eagle target (Rodadero North Project) in central Sonora State, surface sampling results from mineralized outcrops indicate continued high silver values in addition to a significant increase in base metal content (up to 14.9% lead and 1.8% zinc) 1.5 km to 3 km south of discovery hole SE-14-01. Phase 1 drilling confirmed a shallow high-grade mineralized system open in all directions at Silver Eagle and apparently widening to the south toward the Reales area. Further work is continuing to determine the relationship between the Silver Eagle and Reales targets. Assays from a total of 23 rock samples selected 1.5 km to 3 km south of Silver Eagle ranged from 6.5 g/t Ag to 549 g/t Ag, and from 0.15% Pb to 14.9% Pb. Average values from these selected dump, grab and channel samples were 117 g/t Ag and 4.9% Pb. Four of the samples from Reales central also returned elevated copper values ranging from 0.16% in sample no. 121036 to 0.66% Cu in sample no. 865080. Two samples (26149 and 865080) from Reales central returned zinc grades of 1.8% and 0.49%, respectively. Sampling will soon be carried out over the northern section of Reales and additional areas throughout the target.
