Rolls-Royce Holdings plc, together with its subsidiaries, provides integrated power solutions for customers in civil and defence aerospace, marine, and energy markets worldwide. It operates in five segments, Civil Aerospace, Defence Aerospace, Marine, Energy, and Power Systems. The Civil Aerospace segment develops, manufactures, markets, and sells commercial aero engines, including civil large, small aircraft, and helicopter engines for various sectors of the airliner and corporate jet market; and provides aftermarket services consisting of a suite of managing services for its engines. The Defence Aerospace segment is engaged in the development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of military aero engines for combat jets, helicopters, transporters, trainers, tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and distributed generation systems, as well as offers aftermarket services. The Marine segment is involved in the development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of marine-power propulsion systems and aftermarket services. Its produces include automation and control, bearings and seals, deck machinery solutions, power electric systems, engines, propulsors, reduction gears, ship design and systems, syncrolift shiplifts and transfer systems, and stabilisation and manoeuvring systems. This segment also integrates technologically complex systems for offshore oil and gas, merchant and naval surface, and submarine vessels. The Energy segment manufactures and sells power systems for the offshore oil and gas industry and electrical power generation, and aftermarket services. Its products include gas engines, gas turbine engines, gas compression, diesel engines, fuel cells, and automation and control systems. The Power Systems segment develops, manufactures, markets, and sells reciprocating engines, propulsion systems, and distributed energy systems. Rolls-Royce Holdings plc was founded in 1971 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.

Rolls Royce Wins Contractor Logistics Support Contract from US Department of Defense

Rolls-Royce has been awarded a contractor logistics support contract valued at over $100 million by the US Department of Defense to provide continued support for the F405 (Adour) engines that power the US Navy's T-45 training aircraft. The follow-on, one-year contract will continue the successful support which has provided the US Navy's training fleet with guaranteed availability over the past ten years. In addition to powering the T-45 Goshawk and other military aircraft, the Adour engine will also power the Hawk AJTS aircraft, which is a contender for the US Air Force T-X trainer program. Under the terms of the agreement, which is administered by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Rolls-Royce will provide intermediate, depot level maintenance and related logistics support for more than 200 F405 engines in the US Navy fleet. This contract includes support for aircraft operating at four main Naval Air Stations - Kingsville, Texas; Meridian, Mississippi; Pensacola, Florida; and Patuxent River, Maryland.

Rolls-Royce to Invest in New Marine Facility to Support Continued Growth of Brazil's Offshore Oil and Gas Industry

Rolls-Royce and UK Chancellor announced that the Group will further invest in Rio de Janeiro State to better support customers in the rapidly expanding offshore oil and gas industry. A new £22 million marine facility in Duque de Caxias will be used to assemble and test large thrusters and other propulsion equipment for use on semisubmersible rigs, drill ships, FPSOs and other highly complex offshore vessels. Construction at the 27,000 sqm site will begin next month. Delivery of the first set of UUC 405 thrusters, for seven drill ships being built by Brazilian shipyard Estaleiro Atlântico Sul for Sete Brasil, will commence in June of 2015.

Rolls-Royce Supports US Marine Corps KC-130Js Through $50 Million Contract

Rolls-Royce has been awarded a contract to support the US Marines Corps fleet of KC-130J air-to-air refuelling tankers, worth more than $50 million. The MissionCare™ contract covers sustainment services for more than 200 Rolls-Royce AE 2100 engines as well as propellers and other propulsion system repairs for the KC-130J fleet. The one-year contract also covers the deployment of Rolls-Royce Field Service Representatives at multiple bases. In addition to support for 47 Marine Corps aircraft, three KC-130Js for Kuwait will be supported via the U.S. Foreign Military Sales programme. The contract was awarded by Naval Air Systems Command and is a follow-on to a prior support agreement. Through MissionCare, Rolls-Royce offers a suite of services, tailored to each military customer's needs, which focuses on increasing propulsion system availability and reducing costs. The Rolls-Royce AE 2100 engine is part of the AE product family, which has over 5,800 engines in service which have accumulated nearly 60 million flight hours. Rolls-Royce also supports the KC-130J engine fleet through its Defense Operations Center in Indianapolis, providing 24/7 real-time engineering support for operators of a variety of aircraft for the USMC and other military branches.
