Coca-Cola and SABMiller Appoint Hseyin M. Akin as Chief Executive Officer for its Planned Bottling Joint Venture in Africa

Coca-Cola and SABMiller have made an announcement on the appointment of Hseyin M. Akin as the new Chief Executive Officer for their planned bottling joint venture in Africa. After the formation of the new JV upon receipt of regulatory nods, Akin will assume his new assignment with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in 2015. The newly appointed Chief Executive is now working as the Deputy CEO of the beer and soft drinks business of Anadolu Efes of Turkey. Akin also serves as the Chairman of the subsidiary boards of bottler Coca-Cola. Akin will be heading the strategic and integration planning for the new joint venture company from 1st March 2015. The proposed JV will provide its services to 12 high-growth Southern and East African nations.
