It sells its products to a network of wholesale distributors, who in turn sell to retailers, such as pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, package stores, stadiums, and other retail outlets. The Boston Beer Company, Inc. was founded in 1984 and is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

For the quarter, the company reported net revenue of $205,375,000 compared to $153,000,000 a year ago. Operating income was $29,120,000 compared to $26,988,000 a year ago. Income before income tax provision was $28,945,000 compared to $26,900,000 a year ago. Net income was $18,079,000 or $1.33 diluted per share compared to $16,873,000 or $1.25 diluted per share a year ago. This increase was primarily due to shipment increases, partially offset by increased investments in advertising, promotional and selling expenses.
