Standard Chartered PLC Announces Management Appointments, Effective October 1, 2014

Standard Chartered PLC has appointed Mary Huen, currently head of retail clients of Hong Kong, as regional head of retail clients of Greater China to lead the strategic direction of the retail clients segment in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Mary will be succeeded by Samir Subberwal, currently Head, Integrated Distribution, Hong Kong and Greater China to oversee the Hong Kong Retail Clients business. Both Mary and Samir will continue to be based in Hong Kong. The appointments will become effective on 1 October 2014. Mary has over 20 years of business management and banking experience. Since joining the Bank in 1991, Mary has held various key positions across product development, distribution and marketing. Samir has been with the Bank for over 20 years and has held various senior roles across five different geographies. As Head of Retail Clients, Hong Kong, Mary has transformed the Hong Kong business into one of the most successful Retail Clients businesses globally, delivering sustainable year on year income growth since taking over in 2009 and enabling the segment to become a key revenue and profit contributor to the Group.

Standard Chartered plc Appoints Karin Flinspach as Head of Cash Products in Transaction Banking

Standard Chartered Plc announced that it has named Karin Flinspach as head of cash products in transaction banking. She will be in charge of the bank's cash capabilities in liquidity products, payables and cash collections. Flinspach was previously with Citigroup Inc. as head for payment and receivables for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Standard Chartered PLC Appoints Annemarie Ganatra as Global Head of Medium-Term Notes

Standard Chartered Plc named former HSBC Holdings Plc banker Annemarie Ganatra global head of medium-term notes. Ganatra will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Ashish Malhotra, head of bond syndicate. She joined the bank Sept. 1. She was formerly global head of HSBC's medium-term notes and structured notes. She held that position from February 2012 and left the bank in May.
