The company serves governmental, industrial, agricultural, commercial, and residential consumers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Electricity Company was founded in 2000 and is based in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Electricity Company to Launch 17 Projects

Saudi Electricity Company plans 17 new projects across the kingdom to meet the growing demand on energy and electricity. The projects are estimated at as much as USD 1.9300 billion, and will include new transformer stations in Waed Al-Shamal, Gurayat, Tabarjal, Al-Jouf and Arar at a cost of USD 623 million. Saudi Electricity Company's board has approved two projects worth USD 193.389 million. One of which is a 380KV transport line from Tabarjal to Al-Jouf, while the other will be from Al-Jouf to Arar. A 380KV line will be established between Tabuk and Tabarjal at a cost of USD 168.22 million.

Saudi Electricity Co announced earnings results for the fourth quarter of 2013. For the period, net loss has dropped by 39% in the fourth quarter of 2013 as it changed its plans of improving productivity. The company's losses reached USD 176 million during the quarter compared to USD 293 million during the same quarter in 2012.

Saudi Electricity Company Signs Five Contracts Worth USD 807 Million

Saudi Electricity Company has announced the signing of five contracts worth USD 807 million to construct two transformers and 380KV supply lines. Part of the project will be established in Hail and Jaeema. The plants will supply 1,520MW when completed in more than two years.
