It has operations primarily in Belgium, rest of Europe, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Ivory Coast. The company was incorporated in 1919 and is headquartered in Schoten, Belgium.

For the year, the company reported revenue of $291,678,000 against $332,522,000 a year ago. Operating result was $78,966,000 against $94,188,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was $75,654,000 against $97,477,000 a year ago. Profit after tax was $58,636,000 against $72,850,000 a year ago. Profit from continuing operations was $73,473,000 or $6.26 per basic and diluted share compared to $58,867,000 or $7.69 per basic and diluted share for the same period a year ago. Profit for the period attributable to equity holders of the parent was $55,627,000 or $6.26 per basic and diluted share against $68,392,000 or $7.69 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities after tax was $63,209,000 against $85,564,000 a year ago. Acquisitions intangible assets were $6,128,000 against $5,765,000 a year ago. For the quarter, the company produced palm oil of 71,472 tonnes, rubber was 2,695 tonnes, tea was 795 tonnes, bananas was 5,917 tonnes compared to palm oil was 74,725 tonnes, rubber was 2,319 tonnes, tea was 884 tonnes, bananas was 5,598 tonnes a year ago. For the year, the company produced palm oil of 265,777 tonnes, rubber was 10,403 tonnes, tea was 2,850 tonnes, bananas was 22,325 tonnes compared to palm oil was 265,778 tonnes, rubber was 10,641 tonnes, tea was 2,923 tonnes, bananas was 23,916 tonnes a year ago. The banana production for the first quarter is expected to reach 14% higher compared to the first quarter of last year, due to the absence of the usual drought in Ivory Coast at the start of the year.

Société Internationale de Plantations et de Finance reported interim management report results for the third quarter and nine months ended Sep. 30, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported palm oil production of 61,824 tonnes, rubber production of 2,432 tonnes, tea production of 655 tonnes and bananas production of 4,585 tonnes compared to palm oil production of 69,807 tonnes, rubber production of 2,650 tonnes, tea production of 592 tonnes and bananas production of 4,932 tonnes reported in the same period last year.
