South Jersey Industries, Inc., through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the purchase, transmission, and sale of natural gas, as well as provision of other energy related services. The company sells natural gas and pipeline transportation capacity on a wholesale basis to various customers on the interstate pipeline system, as well as transports natural gas purchased directly from producers or suppliers to their customers. As of December 31, 2013, it had approximately 122.7 miles of mains in the transmission system and 6,247 miles of mains in the distribution system. The company served 362,256 residential, commercial, and industrial customers. It also develops, owns, and operates energy-related projects, such as thermal facilities, combined heat and power facilities, landfill gas-fired electric production facilities, and solar projects that provide cooling, heating, and emergency power. In addition, the company markets natural gas storage, commodity, and transportation assets on a wholesale basis for energy marketers, electric and gas utilities, power plants, and natural gas producers in the mid-Atlantic, Appalachian, and southern regions of the United States. Further, it provides plumbing services and services appliances, and services for the acquisition and transportation of natural gas and electricity for retail end users; markets total energy management services; installs and services residential and commercial HVAC systems; and offers services, such as information technology, human resources, corporate communications, materials purchasing, and fleet management, as well as owns oil, gas, and mineral rights in the Marcellus Shale region of Pennsylvania. South Jersey Industries, Inc. was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in Folsom, New Jersey.

South Jersey Industries, Inc. Issues $30 Million Aggregate Principal Amount of its 3.05% Senior Notes, Series 2014A-2, Due August 15, 2019

On August 15, 2014, South Jersey Industries, Inc. issued $30 million aggregate principal amount of its 3.05% Senior Notes, Series 2014A-2, due August 15, 2019. The Series 2014A-2 Notes were issued pursuant to a Note Purchase Agreement dated as of June 26, 2014 between the company and the purchasers named therein. The Note Purchase Agreement provides for the issuance of an aggregate of $240 million of medium term notes, which amount includes the Series 2014A-2 Notes. On June 26, 2014, the company issued an aggregate of $100 million principal amount of Notes, and the Note Purchase Agreement provides for the issuance of an additional $110 million aggregate principal amount of Notes that the company anticipates issuing on September 26, 2014. The Notes are unsecured. The Series 2014A-2 Notes bear interest at the annual rate of 3.05%, with interest payable on February 15 and August 15 in each year, commencing on February 15, 2015. Subject to certain accelerating events, principal on the Series 2014A-2 Notes, plus any accrued but unpaid interest, is payable on August 15, 2019.
