Sekerbank T.A.S. provides small business and agricultural, commercial/SME, corporate, and retail banking services in Turkey. It accepts deposits; and offers cash and non-cash loans in Turkish Lira and foreign currency, and mortgage financing and housing loans, as well as credit cards. The company is also involved in the capital market transaction, remittance transaction, and exports and foreign currency exchange transaction activities; and provision of domestic and foreign factoring, financial leasing, and offshore banking services. As of December 31, 2013, the company operated 312 branches. It primarily offers its products and services to tradesmen, SMEs, farmers, and business owners. The company was formerly known as Pancar Kooperatifleri Bankasi A.S. and changed its name to Sekerbank T.A.S. in 1956. Sekerbank T.A.S. was founded in 1953 and is based in Istanbul, Turkey.

Sekerbank Gets $60 Mlillion EBRDLoan for Green Energy, Efficiency Projects

Sekerbank announced that it has signed a $60 million (€48 million) loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects of individuals and entities in Turkey. The loan will be provided under the Turkey Residential Energy Efficiency Finance Facility (TuREEFF) programme of the EBRD. The EBRD will extend a $48 million portion of the loan with a tenor of five years, while the remaining $12 billion portion will be provided by the Clean Technology Fund with maturity of 12 years, Sekerbank explained.

Sekerbank announced earnings results for the nine months ended September 2014. For the nine months, the company announced that net profit decreased 20.3% to TRY 104.2 million. Net interest income rose 11.7% to TRY 693.4 million and net fees and commissions income went up 14.5% to TRY 183.2 million.
