PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk announced consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2012. For the period, the company reported revenues of IDR 2,265,260 million compared with IDR 1,650,906 million for the same period a year ago. Income before tax was IDR 459,976 million compared with IDR 380,400 million for the same period a year ago. Income was IDR 346,299 million compared with IDR 283,884 million for the same period a year ago. Total comprehensive income attributable to equity holders of the company was IDR 1,898,217 million or IDR 340 per basic share compared with IDR 293,585 million or IDR 278 per basic share for the same period a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was IDR 1,991,400 million compared with IDR 1,571,559 million for the same period a year ago. PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk is planning to merge its tower unit with a listed telecommunications company. Reuters reports citing Indra Utoyo, Director of Telekomunikasi that the company is considering several firms for merger with PT DayaMitra Telekomunikasi. The various firms include PT Tower Bersama and PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk. Official talks for the plan have not yet begun. Utoyo added, "The plan is to unlock the value of Dayamitra, which could be via a merger with listed telecom firms or an IPO." in 2012, Sudiro Asno, Chief Financial Officer of Telekomunikasi had said that the company was planning an initial public offering (IPO) for Dayamitra in the second half of 2013.
