Southern Products, Inc. announced the signing of an agreement for the settlement of all claims and disputes between it and one of its former suppliers of flat panel televisions, Anhui Technology Import and Export Co. Ltd. Anhui Technology agreed to settle its outstanding receivables from SNPD for a percentage of net collections and equity raises received by the Company's operating subsidiary Sigmac USA, Inc.
Southern Products announced an agreement with Meidi Electronics to distribute its Westinghouse Digital Electronics factory refurbished televisions. The agreement calls for sales to several national and international online resellers and effectively expands the Southern Products product line into a new higher margin product category. Refurbished televisions, especially those with the respected Westinghouse name, offer margins as high as 30% as opposed to the 8-12% available in the market for new Sigmac branded televisions. Based on the indication of interest from the retailers the company have contacted so far, the company expect these refurbished televisions to add $2 to $4 million in new revenue to Southern Products over the next year, which, in the aggregate, may add as much as $600,000 to bottom line by the end of the first quarter of 2014.
Southern Products announced that it has begun production of its 2013 models of LED Televisions and is introducing for the first time in 2013 a new line of Picture Frames and Tablets. The models being offered are the Sigmac Brand 15,24,32, 39, 42, 55,60 and 84 inch models (model numbers: SE15AB, SC32AB1, SC32AB, SC39AB, SE42BB1, SE42AB, SE55ABD1, SE60AB1 and SE84BB2). In addition, in the next few months, the Company will commence shipping three models of its new Sigmac Brand Android tablets, including a 7, 8 and 10 inch model, and two new electronic picture frame models, PF5 and PF7 (5 and 7 inch models).
