The company also designs and builds spacecraft processing equipment and facilities, and space hardware; provides propellant services, such as designing, building, and testing service equipment for servicing spacecraft; and commercialize products processed in the microgravity environment. In addition, it develops, manufactures, and sells ultra small mass spectrometer, a chemical analyzer, which detects a range of chemicals. The company serves universities, government agencies, and other research organizations. Astrotech Corporation was founded in 1984 is headquartered in Austin, Texas.

Astrotech Corp. Announces Financial Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended March 31, 2014

Astrotech Corp. announced financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2014. The company posted a third quarter fiscal year 2014 net loss of $2.8 million, or $0.15 per diluted share on revenue of $1.6 million compared with a third quarter fiscal year 2013 net loss of $0.1 million, or $0.01 per diluted share on revenue of $4.6 million. Net loss attributable to Astrotech Corporation was $2.837 million compared to $0.113 million for the same period last year. For the quarter, the company reported loss from operations of $2.99 million against loss from operations of $0.2 million a year ago. Loss before income taxes was $3.053 million against loss before income taxes of $0.238 million a year ago. LBITDA was $2.4 million against EBITDA $0.344 million a year ago. The company posted nine months fiscal year 2014 net loss of $4.8 million, or $0.21 per basic and diluted share on revenue of $10.8 million compared with a third quarter fiscal year 2013 net loss of $2.722 million, or $0.12 per basic and diluted share on revenue of $14.8 million. Astrotech Corporation Settles with Former CFO

Astrotech Corporation announced that it has resolved all claims asserted by John Porter, former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company. On February 25th, 2014, the company reported that the Derivative Lawsuit, which Porter had asserted allegedly in a representative capacity, was dismissed. Astrotech denied any claims that were asserted in the Employment and Derivative Lawsuits. The company has reached a settlement of all claims asserted by Porter in the Employment lawsuit bringing a close to the proceedings.
