Spirit Realty Capital Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues increased 4.8% to $72.8 million, compared to $69.5 million in the first quarter of 2012. The 5.9% growth in rental income was partially offset by lease termination fees recognized in the first quarter of 2012. Loss from continuing operations before income tax expense was $6.3 million compared to $12.3 million a year ago. Loss from continuing operations was $6.4 million compared to $12.3 million a year ago. Net loss attributable to common stockholders was $8.3 million, or $0.10 per share (based on 83.7 million weighted average shares of common stock outstanding), compared to the net loss attributable to common stockholders for the first quarter of 2012 of $12.4 million, or $0.48 per share (based on 25.9 million weighted average shares of common stock outstanding). Funds from operations attributable to common stockholders were $21.9 million or $0.26 per diluted share compared to $23.97 million or $0.52 per diluted share a year ago. Adjusted funds from operations attributable to common stockholders were $36.5 million or $0.43 per diluted share compared to $276 million or $0.61 per diluted share a year ago.
