State Street Corporation announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.30 per share of common stock, payable on October 16, 2014 to common shareholders of record as of October 1, 2014. State Street Corporation also declared a quarterly cash dividend on each of its outstanding series of non-cumulative perpetual preferred stock, as follows: Series C (represented by depositary shares, each representing a 1/4000th interest in a share of Series C preferred stock). The cash dividend is in the amount of $1,312.50 per share of Series C preferred stock (resulting in a distribution of approximately $0.3281 per depositary share) and is payable on September 15, 2014 to the holders of record of the Series C preferred stock at the close of business on September 2, 2014. Series D (represented by depositary shares, each representing a 1/4000th interest in a share of Series D preferred stock). The cash dividend is in the amount of $1,475.00 per share of Series D preferred stock (resulting in a distribution of approximately $0.3687 per depositary share) and is payable on September 15, 2014 to the holders of record of the Series D preferred stock at the close of business on September 2, 2014.

LSE Reportedly Seeks Sale Of Businesses Of Russell

London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSE:LSE) is reportedly planning to sell asset management and consulting businesses of Frank Russell Company for a consideration between $700 million and $1 billion. LSE may keep Russell Investments’ indexing unit. State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT), SEI Investments Co. (NasdaqGS:SEIC), The Vanguard Group, Inc. and Legal & General Group Plc (LSE:LGEN) are believed to be among the possible bidders, according to Investment News.

State Street Corp. Agrees to Pay $60 Million to Resolve Shareholder Lawsuit

State Street Corp. agreed to pay $60 million to resolve a shareholder lawsuit that claimed the company overcharged clients for foreign exchange services. In addition, shareholders accused the company of misleading clients in believing that the company only invested in 'high quality' assets. They added that the company's shares fell after California's attorney general sued the company in October 2009 over the alleged unauthorized mark-ups on forex transactions. The settlement was filed on July 8, 2014 in a federal court in Boston, and awaits approval from the court.
