The Investment Management business line is involved in the investment management of commercial and residential property portfolios for institutional, corporate, or private investors, on a pooled or segregated account basis. The company has operations in the Americas, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, the Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. Savills plc was founded in 1855 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.

The increase of 7% is supported by the performance of non-transactional businesses. The interim dividend will be payable on October 13, 2014 to shareholders on the register on September 12, 2014.

Savills plc Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Half Year Ended June 30, 2014

Savills plc reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the half year ended June 30, 2014. For the period, the company reported revenue of £430.8 million against £399.0 million a year ago. Operating profit was £21.6 million against £18.7 million a year ago. Profit before taxation was £24.7 million against £21.4 million a year ago. Profit after taxation for the period was £18.6 million against £15.6 million a year ago. Profit attributable to Owners of the parent was £18.4 million or 13.6 pence per diluted share against £15.5 million or 11.7 pence per diluted share a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was £51.2 million against £52.8 million a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was £4.1 million against £14.3 million a year ago. Purchase of intangible assets was £0.6 million against £1.1 million a year ago. Underlying profit before taxation was £30.1 million against £26.0 million a year ago. Underlying earnings per diluted share was 16.6 pence against 14.4 pence a year ago.

Orion Capital Managers Appoints Savills as Managing Agent at Trinity Walk Shopping Centre in Wakefield

Orion Capital Managers has appointed Savills as the managing agent at Trinity Walk Shopping Centre in Wakefield. The firm has also been instructed as the letting agent for office space available at the scheme. Totaling 550,000 sq ft (51,095 sq m) Trinity Walk Shopping Centre opened in May 2011 and is anchored by Debenhams and Sainsbury's with other tenants including H&M, Next, ASDA Living, New Look and Argos. Alongside its management role, Savills will market the two office units at the scheme comprising 12,000 sq ft (1,114 sq m) and 8,000 sq ft (743 sq m) respectively.
