Sunwest Bank, together with its subsidiaries, provides banking services to small and medium sized businesses and professionals primarily in Orange County of California and Flagstaff of Arizona. It offers various deposit products, such as personal and business checking and savings accounts, including interest-bearing negotiable order of withdrawal (NOW) accounts, super NOW accounts, money market accounts, time certificates of deposit accounts, and individual retirement accounts, as well as specialty deposits. The company also provides commercial loans to local community businesses, and unsecured or secured by assets of the business and/or its principals; consumer installment loans, such as loans for automobiles, home improvements, debt consolidation, and other personal needs; and real estate loans comprising secured short-term permanent real estate loans and construction loans, as well as specialty loans. In addition, it originates loans that are guaranteed under the Small Business Investments Act. Further, the company offers various services, such as ATMs, ACH originations, online banking, touch-tone federal and state tax payment processing, lockbox services, travelers’ checks, safe deposit, MasterCard and Visa merchant credit card services, Visa debit cards, business sweep accounts, remote deposit capture, cash management, and payment processing services. It operates through 11 banking offices in California and Arizona. The company was founded in 1970 and is based in Irvine, California. Sunwest Bank is a subsidiary of Sunwest Bancorp.
