Sirius Minerals plc Provides Update on the Approvals Process for the York Potash Project

The Directors of Sirius Minerals Plc provided an update on the approvals process for the York Potash Project. The planning applications for the mine and mineral transport system (MTS) and for the materials handling facility (MHF) will be submitted to the relevant local authorities today, in line with previous expectations. The application for the mine and MTS is a 'straddling application' that is being submitted to both the North York Moors National Park Authority (NYMNPA) and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council (RCBC). The application for the MHF is a 'County Matter' application being submitted to RCBC. The statutory determination period for both applications is 16 weeks.
