Dongjiang Environmental Company Limited, together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the waste management and environmental service businesses in the People’s Republic of China. It operates through Industrial Waste Recycling, Industrial Waste Treatment and Disposal, Municipal Waste Treatment and Disposal, Renewable Energy Utilization, Environmental Engineering and Services, and Trading and Others segments. The company offers waste management and environmental solutions, including waste collection and transportation, waste treatment and final disposal, waste utilization, environmental engineering design and facility operation, and design and construction of environmental projects, as well as environmental consultancy services. It also operates waste treatment facilities that offer treatment, reutilization, and disposal services through chemical, physical, and biological methods to a range of industrial hazardous wastes; and converts reusable contents from various types of wastes into useful products. In addition, the company converts methane in landfill field gas into electricity. Further, it is engaged in the collection, treatment, and disposal of industrial services waste and municipal waste; processing and sale of recycled products; operation of methane-to-energy power plants; sale of chemical products, such as inorganic salts, organic solvents, and basic industrial oil; and leasing activities. Additionally, the company operates as a contractor or subcontractor of environmental services, such as design and construction of environmental projects, operation of environment protection facilities, assessment of environmental impact, and environment monitoring and consulting. The company was formerly known as Shenzhen Dongjiang Environmental Company Limited and changed its name to Dongjiang Environmental Company Limited in December 2010. Dongjiang Environmental Company Limited was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, China.
