AT&T Inc. provides telecommunications services to consumers and businesses in the United States and internationally. Its Wireless segment offers various wireless voice, data, text, and other services, including local wireless communications services, long-distance services, and roaming services. This segment also sells various handsets, wirelessly enabled computers, and personal computer wireless data cards through its owned stores, agents, or third-party retail stores; and accessories comprising carrying cases, hands-free devices, batteries, battery chargers, and other items to consumers, as well as to agents and third-party distributors. As of December 31, 2013, this segment served approximately 110 million wireless subscribers. The company’s Wireline segment provides data services, such as switched and dedicated transport, DSL Internet access, network integration, managed Web-hosting, packet, and enterprise networking services, as well as local, interstate, and international wholesale networking capacity to other service providers. This segment also offers voice services consisting of local and long-distance services; wholesale switched access services to other service providers; and outsourcing services, integration services and customer premises equipment, and government-related services. This segment served approximately 12 million retail consumer access lines, 10 million retail business access lines, and 2 million wholesale access lines. The company has strategic relationship with IBM to provide businesses with a source for network security and threat management. The company was formerly known as SBC Communications Inc. and changed its name to AT&T Inc. in November 2005. AT&T, Inc. was founded in 1983 and is based in Dallas, Texas.

AT&T, Inc. to Begin Taking Pre-Orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4

On September 17, 2014, AT&T Inc. will begin taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Shipping for pre-orders will begin around September 23, 2014. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will be available in Charcoal Gray for $31.50 per month for 20 months (plus applicable wireless service plan charges), and $529 with a two-year agreement or $629 at no annual commitment. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will be available in elegant Charcoal Gray for $26.50 per month for 20 months, $429 with a two-year agreement or $529 at no annual commitment. Starting September 17, 2014 and while supplies last, AT&T customers who buy either the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 or Galaxy Tab S 8.4 can save 50% on the purchase of the matching Samsung Tab S keyboard. Both the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 have Super AMOLED(R) screens containing four million pixels, for a clear and vibrant picture that is convenient for watching movies and playing games. AT&T, Inc. Introduces Breakthrough Self-Service Network Solution for Businesses

AT&T, Inc. introduced a breakthrough on-demand service that will enable companies to easily order, add, or change services on their own in near real time. The capability 'AT&T Network on Demand' is the first software-defined networking solution of its kind in the United States, and is being deployed as part of the company's User Defined Network Cloud (UDNC) strategy.

AT&T Sees Opportunity in Mexico, Latin America

AT&T, Inc. (NYSE:T) seeks acquisitions in Latin America and especially Mexico. John Stankey, Chief Strategy Officer of AT&T said Mexico is poised for investment, and that he sees a lot of options, both near-term and long-term, in Latin America. Asked if AT&T would consider other acquisitions even as it focuses on gaining final approvals for the DirecTV deal, Stankey said he "wouldn't rule anything out."
