Tintina Resources Inc. engages in the acquisition, exploration, development, and mining precious and base metal properties. It primarily explores for copper, cobalt, silver, gold, Zinc, and Iron deposits. The company owns interests in the Colorado Creek property that consists of 16,960 acres in 211 Alaska state mining claims and is located to the north of McGrath, Alaska; the Kugruk property, which includes 84,320 acres in 536 Alaska state mining claims and is located to the south of Kotzebue in the low tundra of the northern Seward Peninsula; and the Baird property that comprises 58,640 acres in 371 Alaska state mining claims and is located in arctic Alaska in the Baird Mountains. It also owns interests in the Black Butte property, which consists of approximately 12,000 acres of long-term mining leases on private ranch lands and 100%-owned federal mining claims, and is located to the north of White Sulphur Springs community in central Montana. The company was formerly known as TintinaGold Resources Inc. and changed its name to Tintina Resources Inc. in May 2011. Tintina Resources Inc. was incorporated in 1998 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.

Tintina Resources Inc. announced that it intends to submit an application for a Mine Operating Permit (MOP) to the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). Tintina has elected to withdraw its request to construct an exploration decline under an amendment to its exploration license, and determined that it can gain the necessary baseline information to support a feasibility study and Operating Permit application with less invasive drilling operations during exploration. Submission of the MOP application will initiate the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) process for the entire project.

Tintina Resources' Black Butte Copper Project Obtains Approval for Exploration Decline

Tintina Resources Inc. announced that it has received final approval from the Montana Department of Environmental Quality for construction of a 5,000 foot long underground exploration decline which will access the high-grade Johnny Lee copper deposit located on the company's 100% owned Black Butte Copper Project north of White Sulphur Springs, Montana, USA. Tintina can now continue its pre-development effort by constructing an exploration decline to access the Johnny Lee copper deposit, which contains measured and indicated resources of 910 Million lbs of copper with an average grade of 3.57% Cu. The proposed decline will enable the Company to complete further evaluation and test work while conducting a feasibility study on the Johnny Lee deposit. The Johnny Lee copper deposit contains measured resources of 2.66 Million lbs of copper with an average grade of 2.99% Cu and indicated resources of 8.91 Million lbs of copper with an average grade of 3.74% Cu.
