Trimble Integrates Field Service Management Suite and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Time & Material Billing Software

Trimble announced the integration of Trimble's mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) module for service work order management and billing with Trimble Field Service Management (FSM) solutions. The integration provides MEP service contractors with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage their service business from the initial quote and work order to mobile workforce scheduling and invoicing, to improved billing and customer satisfaction. The modern service contractor requires more than just a tool to track vehicle location and work orders. With the integration of Trimble(R) Accubid Time & Material Billing and the Trimble Field Service Management solution set, MEP service contractors now have a truly integrated work process. Time & Material Billing already allows service contractors to easily manage quotes, work orders and billing. With this new integration, the entire service workflow is managed from quote to job completion. The Trimble Field Service Management suite includes Work Management, a cloud-based software that enhances the productivity of mobile workforces through intelligent scheduling tools, mobile apps and performance analytics. These combined solutions provide organizations with a complete set of tools to enable field service excellence that is delivered from the start of the service request to the end.

Trimble Expands Functionality of Its ThingMagic Mercury xPRESS Sensor Hub

Trimble announced the ThingMagic(R) Mercury(R) xPRESS Sensor Hub now supports network interfaces (PoE and WiFi) as well as GPS, enabling the integration of positioning services into solutions. The xPRESS Sensor Hub is a flexible development platform designed to enable customers to rapidly create cost effective finished reader products. Mercury xPRESS maintains a single unified software interface, allowing developers to consume diverse sensor data and acts as a "Sensor Hub" for a range of transport interfaces and communication plug-ins in a single platform. Mercury xPRESS also allows developers to move seamlessly across technologies as the use case demands. The Mercury xPRESS Sensor Hub combines a microcontroller-based motherboard with the ThingMagic Mercury6e Series of RFID modules and an integrated software development environment built on ThingMagic's Mercury C API. With the platform, developers can bring up a fully functional RFID reader in minutes; testing and proof of concept using sample applications from the software library can start almost immediately. Reference design files allow developers to select the elements needed for their solution and advance rapidly to application specific end product design and development. The Mercury xPRESS Sensor Hub has been screened for regulatory compliance, reducing cost and time to secure end product certifications. To support ongoing innovation, the integrated development tools, device drivers and application software of the Mercury xPRESS Sensor Hub can enable the development of a wider range of end products. Mercury xPRESS is also designed to support a library of sample applications. A native keyboard wedge over USB and Bluetooth interfaces and streaming data over network interfaces is available today, while other sample applications may be included in future releases.

Trimble Introduces New Spectra Precision LL300N Laser Level

Trimble introduced the new generation Spectra Precision LL300N Laser Level for construction. The LL300N is a ruggedized, fully automatic, self-leveling laser level designed to handle a wide range of general construction, concrete and site preparation applications including general elevation control, leveling forms and footers, concrete pours, excavations and basic slopes. With its new design, the LL300N sets a new standard in ruggedness. Featuring a glass lighthouse, the LL300N offers an IP66 environmental protection rating, which allows operation in adverse environmental conditions, even heavy rain. With a metal sunshade and tough composite material housing, the laser can withstand drops of up to 3 feet (1 meter) onto concrete and tripod tip-overs up to 5 feet (1.5 meters), resulting in reduced downtime and lower repair costs. Even in the toughest jobsite conditions, the LL300N consistently delivers reliable, accurate performance to increase overall productivity and cost-savings. The LL300N Laser Level also features easy, one-button operation for basic leveling. For a wider range of applications the optional RC601 Remote Control enables additional performance features including single-axis slope mode and manual slope matching capabilities. Contractors can configure the LL300N to fit their requirements. A variety of packages are available with a choice of receiver and accessories, including a tripod and grade rod that can fit in a system case. The Spectra Precision LL300N is available now through the Spectra Precision Dealer Network.
