tele2 ab-b shs (TEL2B) Key Developments

Tele2 Launches New Advertising Concept

Tele2 has announced a launch of a new advertising platform. The company has not only entirely changed its image in advertising but also entirely upgraded a range of tariffs and improved its approach to customer service. Tele2 has substituted a famous "Mafia" concept that was launched in 2006 with a new advertising platform "Honesty". It is founded on the philosophy of honesty that complies with Tele2 brand values. The operator’s new slogan is "When it’s honest, it’s cheaper". In all contacts with subscribers Tele2 placed its bet on principles of honesty and simplicity while informing users about all conditions of providing services. To implement the idea of honesty in TV ads the company is using the power of music and verses. The main heroes of the Tele2 new concept are young musicians that take part in the advertisement under their real names. Their art includes honest, witty texts, music and acute rhymes that deliver Tele2 ideas. They are fighting for simplicity in communication and honesty. They tell the truth in their ironic songs, expose lies and judge even themselves. In outdoor advertising the operator has used entire surface of the billboard to place a tariff offer – without hidden conditions and small-sized fonts that usually contain numerous restrictions on the use of services. Apart from a new advertising image, Tele has presented a new tariff range. The operator has decided to abstain from using uniform and hard-to-remember tariff names and rather prefer colors. So Tele2 named its tariffs as "Red", "Orange", "Yellow", "Blue" and others. In each region Tele2 will have at least five different tariffs that cover subscribers’ main preferences. The company used the same approach in the corporate tariffs. Now they have comprehensible and concise names that correspond to the letters of the Greek alphabet: "Alpha", "Beta", "Gamma". For convenience of Tele2 subscribers has set up a special website chestno.ru that contains comprehensible and easy-to-understand information about tariffs and services without numerous clauses and hidden conditions.
