Further, the company provides hosting services on the digital multiplexes; and accessory services and television broadcasting platforms for third parties. Additionally, it operates La7.it, a Website that presents information and extracts of La7 and La7d programming; and La7.TV, a Web TV channel. The company is headquartered in Rome, Italy. Telecom Italia Media SpA Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Six Months Ended June 30, 2014

Telecom Italia Media SpA reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2014. Revenues were €30.6 million against €38.6 million last year. Total operating revenue and other income was €31.3 million against €41.7 million last year. EBITDA was €11.3 million against €18.3 million last year. LBIT was €2.1 million against EBIT of €4.1 million last year. Loss before tax from continuing operations was €6.4 million against profit before tax from continuing operations of €1.8 million last year. Loss from continuing operations was €5.2 million or €0.0476 per basic ordinary share and savings share against profit from continuing operations of €0.5 million or €0.0048 per basic ordinary share and savings share last year. Loss attributable to owners of the parent was €5.2 million or €0.0476 per basic ordinary share and savings share against loss attributable to owners of the parent of €133.5 million or €1.2631 per basic ordinary share and savings share last year. Cash flows from operating activities were €26.8 million against €14.3 million last year. Total investments in intangible and tangible assets on an accrual basis were €3.7 million against €4.1 million last year. Total purchase of intangible and tangible assets on a cash basis was €3.4 million against €6.9 million last year. Revenue result was entirely attributable to the Network Operator in relation with the expiry, at year-end 2013, of some contracts, only partially offset by higher revenues from other customers. EBITDA mainly reflects the decline in revenues, which was only partially offset by a reduction in operating expenses of the Network Operator.

TME And Gruppo Editoriale Reportedly Seeks Buyer For Persidera

Telecom Italia Media SpA (BIT:TME) and Gruppo Editoriale L' Espresso SpA (BIT:ES), shareholders of Persidera, has started sounding the market for possible buyers interested in interested in acquiring Persidera. Mediobanca and Banca IMI are acting as advisors for Telecom Italia and Gruppo Editoriale L' Espresso respectively.

Sky Italia S.r.l. Deal to Rent 5 Telecom INR DTT Channels

Sky Italia reached an agreement back in May to rent five DTT channels from Telecom Italia Media, two unnamed people told Bloomberg. Under the terms of the deal, Sky Italia will be able to start broadcasting the DTT channels from October 2014 to June 2015, and could effectively reach 95% of Italian homes. Sky mainly operates in Italy via satellite and high-speed broadband networks and needs terrestrial channels to compete with Mediaset, which runs free-to-air channels as well as the pay-TV service Mediaset Premium.
