The company provides custom and bladeless LASIK procedures. It also offers laser epithelial keratomileusis, a laser refractive procedure to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism; photorefractive keratectomy, an elective outpatient laser vision correction procedure to improve vision and reduce or eliminate the need for eyeglasses or contact lenses; monovision; and conductive keratoplasty, a technology designed to lessen dependence on reading glasses. In addition, the company provides implantable contact lenses, an option for people who find their prescriptions fall outside the accepted range for laser refractive procedures, have extreme near or farsightedness, or who may otherwise not be an ideal candidate for vision correction procedures; and intraocular lens for correcting moderate to severe nearsightedness. The company was formerly known as TLC Laser Eye Centers Inc. and changed its name to TLC Vision Corporation in May 2002. TLC Vision Corporation was founded in 1993 and is based in Chesterfield, Missouri.
