OLL.TV Deploys Teleste's Headend Platform to Develop its OTT Video Service in Ukraine

Teleste announced the deployment of Teleste's Luminato headend platform for OLL.TV. The platform will be an integral part of live TV reception in a new Over-the-top video service called OLL.TV. Teleste partnered with DEPS, the main system integrator of this multi-vendor OTT project, to provide OLL.TV with a headend solution that is easily tailored to meet the customer's requirements and offers an excellent price/performance ratio and lead time. As the number of channels broadcasted by the new service will grow up to 250 in 2014, Teleste Luminato will ensure top performance and reliable, high-quality reception for the service audience. Read more about the Luminato platform.

Teleste Corp. Introduces New Ethernet over Coax Wi-Fi Adapter

Teleste Corporation, has made the next big evolutionary step with MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance) technology. The new MoCA 2.0 products will be on display at the International Broadcast Conference (IBC2014) in Amsterdam at the RAI Convention Centre, 12 -16 September, at the Teleste stand (4.B61, Hall 4) and in Entropic's Meeting Suite (G106/G107, Hall 13). The new MoCA 2.0-based devices offer a massive increase in real, or MAC, data throughput. MoCA 2.0 pushes the performance envelope beyond other competing technologies, offering a minimum of 400 Mbps -- making it an essential choice for operators who need to get multiple streams of HD and 4K video entertainment around a customer's home without performance issues and without installing any new cables. The new MoCA 2.0 standard can also deliver one single point-to-point link over coax of 1000Mbps, when in 'turbo' bonded mode. Another key benefit is that the MoCA technology uses the existing coax cables and outlets in the home, while coexisting with the TV and broadband signals. Powering Teleste's Ethernet over Coax Wi-Fi adapter is Entropic's second-generation, single-chip MoCA 2.0 system solution, the EN2800-series. Building upon the maturity and performance of Entropic's first-generation MoCA 2.0 solution, the EN2800-series now offers the most compact, economical and lowest power solution available on the market without sacrificing performance. Additionally, the EN2800-series provides the maximum throughput, critical power management features and enhanced network dependability to meet stringent Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. With the demand for this killer app very much in focus, Teleste is launching a version of their adapter with 80211.AC wireless and 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports. Connecting these to the in-home coax network will provide high speed Wi-Fi coverage to in-home dead spots where traditional single hotspots do not get coverage. The Teleste Ethernet over Coax Wi-Fi adapter uses a simple plug-and-play connection to a standard Ethernet router and the in-home coax network. It enables two or more units, with a maximum of 16 devices, to be connected on the same coax network. Setting up the Wi-Fi is also easy as consumers simply connect the device into the existing router with the supplied Ethernet cable, configure the device by typing the default address into a web browser on the consumer's laptop or tablet and follow the onscreen wizard. The Teleste Ethernet over Coax Wi-Fi adapter is currently available.

Teleste Introduces New Entropic-Powered Ethernet Over Coax Wi-Fi Extender for Hospitality and Multi-Dwelling Units

Teleste Corporation has taken broadband access to Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and hotel rooms to the next level by introducing a new range of Ethernet over Coax (EoC) products, powered by Entropic's c.LINK(TM) 1.1+ Broadband Access technology. The new Teleste EoC solutions enable broadband data to be distributed over an existing coax network, without installing any new cables. The new EoC products will be on display at the International Broadcast Conference (IBC2014) in Amsterdam at the RAI Convention Centre, 12 -16 September, at the Teleste stand (4.B61, Hall 4) and in the Entropic Meeting Suite (G106/G107, Hall 13). The Teleste products are based on Entropic's c.LINK 1.1+ Broadband Access technology, which brings a massive increase in total bandwidth throughput to 800Mbps and the total number of connected Wi-Fi extenders to 252 devices. By using c.LINK 1.1+, hospitality facilities, leisure environments and MDUs gain an ideal system to access higher speed broadband entertainment services including HD Video on Demand (VoD). To install the client device, simply connect it between the coaxial wall outlet and the existing TV. Each client device provides a Wi-Fi hotspot and Ethernet ports for tablet and/or laptop hook-up. The entire installation process can be done in just a few minutes. This ease of installation is critical to the hospitality industry, as it minimizes revenue loss due to service upgrades. This no new wires approach further reduces deployment time and overall capital expense. Entropic's innovative c.LINK 1.1+ EoC Broadband Access solution is ideal for high density MDU and hospitality environments. It is comprised of the EN3681 Network Controller (NC) and the EN3690 Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and offers the industry's first multiple-channel EoC solution that can deliver up to 800 Mbps of aggregated throughput. These key features satisfy consumer demand for HD video content across a variety of connected devices. The Ethernet over Coax Broadband Access Wi-Fi adapter is currently available from Asheridge Communications that is a member of the Teleste Group.
