TNT Express announced cash flow results for the first quarter of 2013. For the quarter, net cash from operating activities was EUR 148 million above the prior year, again mainly caused by the break fee received from UPS. The net CapEx in the quarter was relatively low at 1% and this is mainly because CapEx was held back pending the merger process. For the year 2013, the company does not change the targeted annual 2% to 3% CapEx level.

GeoPost S.A. is not interest in acquiring TNT Express N.V. Paul-Marie Chavanne, President and Chief Executive Officer of GeoPost, "We are not interested in TNT. It’s not possible for La Poste Société Anonyme to make an acquisition of that size. Moreover, an acquisition of TNT could create competitive problems in France requiring an onward sale of TNT France." He also added that GeoPost had not been interested in TNT’s China business and was not interested in its Brazil operations either. La Poste Société Anonyme is parent of GeoPost. However he said that GeoPost is interested in diverse minor acquisitions, such as of the remaining franchisees of SEUR, S.A.
