It operates through four segments: Hospitality, Agriculture, Energy, and Corporate Center. The company operates Transcorp Hilton Hotel, a 670-room 5-star hotel in Abuja; and Transcorps Hotels, Calabar, a 146-room hotel in Calabar. It also produces and distributes orange and pineapple, and mango puree, as well as orange peel oil for industrial markets. In addition, the company is involved in upstream petroleum exploration activities. Further, it is engaged in the exploration, refining, and marketing of oil and gas, as well as in providing consultancy services; distribution of global systems for mobile; cultivating soil and growing food, cash, and fodder crops; generation, distribution, and sale of power; and provision of Internet services, including browsing and email services; car rental, hiring, and protocol services; and general maritime operations. Additionally, the company is involved in managing cafeterias, eateries, dinners, canteens cafes, pizzerias, snack bars, etc.; the sale and purchase of wholesale and retail commodities; mining, refining, and supplying mining produce; and acting as building contractors, decorators, merchants, and dealers in stone, sand, lime, iron, etc., as well as operates as dealer in agricultural and mineral products. Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc was incorporated in 2004 and is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

For the quarter, the company reported gross revenue for the Group stood at NGN 31.4 billion which represents 167% growth from third quarter 2013 results of NGN 11.8 billion. For the nine months, the company reported profit before tax of NGN 9.7 billion, an 89% year on year increase from NGN 5.15 billion in September 2013.

Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc announced the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Nnorom as President/CEO of the company. Nnorom, who will formally take over the running of the higher capitalized company in the conglomerates subsector of the NSE on September 1, will succeed Mr. Obinna Ufudo, who has been leading the company since 2011. Nnorom's key role will be to lead the acceleration and deepening of the company's investments in its four strategic business sectors of hospitality, power, agriculture and oil & gas and to build on Ufudo's achievements in repositioning Transcorp for growth. For the period, the company reported group revenue of NGN 21.21 billion for the six months operations, against NGN 7.67 billion achieved in 2013. Specifically, the company's performance for the six months ended June 30, 2014, showed revenue of NGN 21.21 billion. This represents 177% rise, when compared with NGN 7.67 billion recorded in 2013. Group operating profit stood at NGN 9.75 billion, while profit before tax rose to NGN 8.02 billion, up from NGN 3.61 billion achieved in first quarter of 2013, which represents an increase of 122%.
