The Solutions segment provides various services to support the improvement of education, learning, and training delivery by the company’s customers. It also offers student experience analytics solutions to the higher education market. The company serves universities, colleges, schools and government. Tribal Group plc was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Bristol, the United Kingdom.

The company reported that net debt as at 30 April 2014 was £13.4 million compared to £4.6 million as on 31 December 2013, after taking account of payments relating to recent acquisition of Sky Software, and deferred consideration payments relating to i-graduate. Operating cashflow also reflects the timing of important contract milestones.

Tribal Group plc Proposes Final Dividend, Payable on July 11, 2014; Reports Preliminary Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2013; Reaffirms Earnings Guidance for the Full Year of 2014

The Board of Tribal Group plc has proposed a final dividend of 1.10 pence per share which, together with the interim dividend of 0.50 pence per share, gives a total dividend of 1.60 pence per share against of 1.25 pence in 2012. The final dividend is covered 7.8 times by adjusted earnings per share, and the final dividend will be paid on July 11, 2014 to shareholders on the register on June 13, 2014. The proposed final dividend is subject to approval by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting. The company reported preliminary consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2013. For the year, the company reported operating profit of £15.498 million, profit before tax of £13.497 million, profit from continuing operations of £10.777 million or 11.5 pence per diluted share and profit attributable to equity holders of the parent of £11.565 million or 12.3 pence per diluted share on revenue of £125.485 million compared to operating profit of £11.469 million, profit before tax of £9.973 million, profit from continuing operations of £7.959 million or 8.5 pence per diluted share and profit attributable to equity holders of the parent of £9.724 million or 10.4 pence per diluted share on revenue of £115.395 million reported a year ago. Net cash from operating activities was £18.646 million compared to £15.063 million reported a year ago. Adjusted operating profit was £15.759 million, adjusted profit before tax of £14.561 million, adjusted revenue of £125.485 million, adjusted diluted per share was 12.5 pence compared to adjusted operating profit of £13.882 million, adjusted profit before tax of £12.839 million, adjusted revenue of £113.417 million, adjusted diluted per share 10.9 pence a year ago. Net debt as at December 31, 2013 was £4.559 million compared to £9.850 million as at December 31, 2012. Capital expenditure (net) was £1.552 million compared to £2.178 million reported a year ago. Free cash flow was £9.467 million compared to £6.064 million reported a year ago. The company’s expectations for 2014 are unchanged. As a consequence of seasonality in its business, and its continued programme of international development and investment, the company anticipates its profits in 2014 will once again be weighted towards the second half of the year, and Tribal has good potential to make further progress over the medium term.
