This segment also provides regulatory and operational risk management solutions. The Legal segment offers online and print information, decision support tools, and software and services to support legal, investigation, business, and government professionals. This segment’s products and services comprise legal research solutions; software-based workflow solutions; compliance solutions; marketing, finance and operations software; and business development and legal process outsourcing services. The Tax & Accounting segment provides integrated tax compliance and accounting information, software, and services for professionals in accounting firms, corporations, law firms, and government. The Intellectual Property & Science segment offers intellectual property and scientific information, and decision support tools and services that enable governments, academia, publishers, corporations, and law firms to discover, develop, and deliver innovations. The company also operates Reuters, which provides real-time multimedia news and information services to newspapers, television and cable networks, radio stations, and Websites. The company was formerly known as The Thomson Corporation and changed its name to Thomson Reuters Corporation in April 2008. Thomson Reuters Corporation was incorporated in 1977 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

Thomson Reuters announced an agreement with Mediant Communications to provide shareholder communications for Thomson Reuters Wealth Management solutions. Thomson Reuters and Mediant Communications have collaborated closely since 2008 to integrate data flows for joint customers and provide interfaces between Thomson Reuters Wealth Management platform and Mediant's MIC (Management Information Center) database of shareholder events, documents and account information. Thomson Reuters Corp. to Redeem CAD 750 Million Principal Amount of 6.00% Notes Due March 31, 2016

Thomson Reuters Corp. announced on November 4, 2014, that it will exercise its right to redeem all of its CAD 750 million principal amount of 6.00% notes due March 31, 2016. The redemption price will include an early repayment premium and accrued and unpaid interest through the redemption date, expected to be on or about December 4, 2014. The company plans to finance the redemption through the issuance of new debt securities.

Thomson Reuters Announces Pricing of CAD 550 Million Note Offering Due 2021

Thomson Reuters announced the pricing of its offering of CAD 550 million (approximately USD 483 million) principal amount of 3.309% notes due 2021. The offering is expected to close on November 12, 2014, subject to customary closing conditions. Thomson Reuters plans to use the net proceeds of this offering for general corporate purposes, including, without limitation, to fund the redemption of all of its outstanding CAD 750 million principal amount of 6.00% notes due March 2016 and to finance share repurchases under its previously announced buyback program.
